We were afforded a really warm welcome at this Hotel . Private car parking is a great asset. The Hotel was very charming, beautiful little quiet sitting areas, a library of books & absolutely spotless. The lack of an Elevator proved a disadvantage & with today’s ease of installation I think an Elevator would be an essential. We opted to have a room upstairs having been given a choice…& the room was beautifully appointed & spotlessly clean. The Shower was efficient but varied from hot to cold throughout use. As we were the only Guests on the first night we had to pre-order Breakfast …& it was most disappointing. Warm food on ice cold plates accompanied by cold Toast & mediocre Coffee… not a good start. However, on our second morning there were other Guests around & a self service Buffet was available. A request for Hot plates, fat free food &Hot toast was granted , resulting in a much nicer meal with which to start the day.
We enjoyed our couple of days at Ballyvaughan & would recommend it as a lovely Hotelnin which to stay .More
