Nice walk to reach the top of the hill, from where you will have a stunning view of Dublin on one side, and the coast on another side, and also a nice view on the Wicklow mountains. Nice atmosphere with families, couples, or people walking dogs. There's a also a little café at the entrance.

This is another of the great walks outside Dublin which can be combined with Killney Beach or Bullock Harbour - both impressive places. The views are spectacular over the harbour and looking down to the sea. There are some interesting monuments to be seen on the hill and the paths are great to walk around.

We enjoyed a morning of hiking the trails, watching children play in the park, people walking their dogs and taking in the beautiful scenery. We then enjoyed tea at the tea room at the entrance to the park.

I did this walk over the weekend, taking in both the Dalkey hill and the Killiney hill. I found the view from Killiney hill to be far more interesting - but then, I love the view towards Sugarloaf, so maybe that's why. Killiney hill is also higher than Dalkey hill, but the path up, though steep, is easier because the steps are quite wide and make for a good climb. The steps up Dalkey hill, though far fewer, do have a few lose rocks/ stones and so needed more care. A good pair of walking shoes is a must - and a bottle of water.
