My wife my mother in law and myself enjoyed a lovely 3 night break at this very relaxing hotel. We have stayed in Bray many times but this was our first visit to the Wilton Hotel and we will most certainly be back as we had a very pleasant stay.
Room 104 was excellent very spacious, clean and tidy with a double bed and two singles. It also had a very relaxing three seater couch and good sized ensuite.
The breakfast was very well presented in these strange times we are going through.
We also had an evening meal which was excellent.
The staff were excellent and very friendly from start to finish.

We booked a "staycation" in the middle of July. The hotel was very quiet but we felt very safe, great efforts were made in terms of social distancing, hand sanitising etc.

We ate dinner in the restaurant one of the evenings and we were very far away from the other diners, it was like we had a corner of the restaurant to ourselves. Food was delicious and service was very quick!

We had breakfast both mornings in the hotel. The buffet wasn't available due to safety measures, but we were given an adorable breakfast basket each, containing juice and selection of pastries. Then we were served tea and toast at the table and the staff took our hot food orders. It was different from what you would usually expect from a hotel breakfast but the service was fantastic, the food was delicious (we went with the fry one morning and pancakes the next) and we felt very well looked after!

The room was also very bright and comfortable and we loved the fact that there was a bath as we weren't expecting one.

The staff were very helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage for the day while we did some more sightseeing, which we really appreciated!

No negative points at all, we had a perfect stay and would be delighted to come back again.

we visited as a family group and really enjoyed the stay there. The hotel was clean and just within reach of Bray town.. the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.. and during the new normal of Covid19 they were trying to adjust but did so without impacting us in anyway...

The good stuff: This hotel is conveniently located on the periphery of Bray town centre with ample parking available. The exterior of the building looks modern and clean!

The bad stuff: Where to start!! The inside of the hotel is very very dated and not at all clean looking. We paid for a family room as we were traveling with our 2 year old toddler and 3 month old baby. I requested a travel cot in our room which was not there when we checked in. However, the helpful lady at reception soon sorted this out for us while we headed out for a bit. Upon return, the cot was there (a broken one) and was not at all repairable. We decided to make do and get on with it. Next up, the noise!!! As parents of young children we are used to being woken during the night, but this was a different kind of experience. The noise from downstairs, the noise from people passing, from the toilet of the room next door and from some dodgy pipe directly under or over our room! If that wouldn’t keep you awake, try no working radiators on for size. Especially that it was a freezing cold January night, we had to dress up to go to bed. It was FREEZING in the room.

The following morning we could not wait to get out of there so we got up early and headed in for a shower only to realise that there was no hot water so we could not have a shower. We got dressed and left without having breakfast which we paid for.

Upon check out, we brought all of the above to the attention of the two staff members at reception and we received a kind ear and a promise to rectify the issues in the room. On reflection, I believe that this was not good enough. When you book a hotel room, you generally expect two basic requirements - a good nights sleep and a shower the following morning to feel refreshed. Sadly, we got neither and yet we paid full price for the room.

We aren’t the type to complain and to make issues of situations but this was not a pleasant experience and the service at check out was not good enough. I should have insisted on a discount - as I do not believe that we should have paid full price for a one star stay!

Ps don’t voluntarily stay here, and if you do, don’t stay in room 231!
