We stopped here and it was very handy for Waterville golf course and right in the centre of town.

It does what is expected of this type of hotel, without leaving a lasting impression. I would actually go back, but with the right expectations.

This was our third time staying at the Butler Arms. We take part in the annual Charlie Chaplin Film Festival and take our famous Laurel and Hardy Tribute Museum to show off as part of the festivities. The hotel has allowed us host this superb exhibition in their front lounge. The help and support we have had has been nothing short of amazing.
We also stay at the hotel for the duration and absolutely cannot fault it in any area. The staff are second to none. From the porter helping us set up our room, to Deirdre on reception who is a shining star with her personality and welcoming style. The breakfasts were piping hot and served with smiles and extra accommodating help if any dietary requests were asked for. The bars were full of fun and efficient staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our three nights.
Everywhere was spotless and clean and our beds were made every day and new towels provided if asked for.
Guys, thank you so much for all your help. Without your support we could not be a part of the festival.
And well done on such an efficient, clean and extremely well run hotel.

We would like to sincerely thank Paula and Louise for hosting our small family wedding and making it such a memorable day! We genuinely could not have asked for a better wedding day.

During the whole planning process both Paula and Louise were so helpful. We felt that everything was so well taken care of which allowed us to truly enjoy this magical day. The large bedroom suites with outstanding views were a wonderful place to prepare for the day. In particular, the newly designed dining room is just beautiful and created a wonderful atmosphere for the meal. The food was outstanding; compliments to Craig the chef, everyone is still talking about it!

What really made the day so special was the staff at the Butler Arms who made us and all our guests feel so welcome. As a family run hotel there's a unique "homely" feel with an old world charm. We could not recommend it highly enough for a small intimate wedding, it really is something special.
