The Smugglers Inn is a beautiful recently renovated guest house with an outstanding restaurant. All the staff are friendly and attentive. The views from the restaurant are spectacular coupled with outstanding food and service. We chose the hake and scallops and both were delicious. The Inny Strand is on the doorstep which is breathtaking. We will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in the Smugglers many times but this is the first time we have been there since its been renovated. The accommodation is now first rate and very tastefully done. As always the food is excellent. The staff are on the ball and very friendly. An absolute gem of a place!

My family and I had the pleasure of visiting the Smugglers Inn and eating at their restaurant.
The restaurant has amazing views of the coast topped only by the excellent menu on offer.
Everything about our meals was excellent and all of us could not of been any happier. The sharing starters are a great idea and get the table conversations flowing. The variety of main courses on offer allowed everyone to get their favourites with new interesting twists. I highly recommend the desserts....they're all delicious.
All of the staff were excellent and Andre was particularly attentive and helpful. He had lots of information about the local area which was facinating and really made our meal and evening fly by.
Kerry is the Kingdom but the Smugglers Inn is a jewel in the Kingdoms crown.

We had the pleasure of staying at this amazingly freshly renovated and beautifully situated guesthouse and restaurant this weekend.We could not of been any happier with our stay, The area and the premises was much more beautiful than I had anticipated with exceptionally nice and accommodating staff. Andre was especially helpful and we had some great conversations.

Just returned from our 6th stay in the Smugglers Inn over the past 9 years.
The rooms and whole place looks amazing after the renovation. Stayed in the superior sea view room with the porch over looking the sea. So special and tranquil to sit in and take in the view and sound of the waves. We have stayed in all different types of rooms over the years and they are all as nice as the other, especially the sea view rooms.
We cannot understand how they do not have a Michelin star yet. Henrys meals never fail to blow us away by the amazing quality. The meals have such contrasting flavours that come together to taste fantastic. We had the goats cheese tartlet and smoked haddock to start. Beef and monkfish tails for main. And treated ourselves to chocolate mousse and for dessert. Not to mention the red pepper bites were delicious while waiting for our food and admiring the view. It was by far the best meal we have ever eaten to date.
Every single staff member leaves a lasting impression. Henry after a hard day's work often makes an appearance in the bar at the end of the night to chat to his customers. Of course wearing a mask and socially distanced at the moment. We had a great chat with him 2 years ago and since then look forward to meeting him everytime since.
We have to mention aswell the amazing barman Andre. Makes amazing cocktails (especially espresso martinis). Such a genuine gentleman to talk to. It was pleasure to get to know him.
One negative to all our stays is the sores heads for a 3 hour drive home the next day! Worth the journey everytime.
