“The Left Bank is a gem”
Reviewed 22 February 2012

Don't be put off by the previous reviewer "Unbelievably child unfriendly". We often stop for lunch at The Left Bank restaurant en route from Galway and always enjoy good food, in a relaxing friendly atmosphere. We happened to be there on this same date and therefore must make a comment. The said seven children created such an uproar and were totally uncontrolled by the adults who seemed oblivious to the discomfort caused to the other diners. I was glad when the senior member of staff finally took control and asked for peace and quiet. It was needed! We were about to do it ourselves.
We will return again in spite of this minor interruption to our otherwise superb lunch.

“unbelievably unchild friendly”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

had a very upsetting experience in this restaurant yesterday, went here group of five adults seven young children.Should have known restaurant was not child friendly when there was no child menu so goujons of ling and confit of duck for all children under six. Two two year olds all seated began shouting at each other as we were finishing desert and tea.senior lady member of staff approached both two year olds and started shouting at them to be quiet. Never spoke to us .Am horrifed and wish no one else to have this desperately upsetting experience. A extremely negative experience. just want no other parent of young children to pay for such an upsetting experience

“Food is delish and the value menu is exceptional.”
Reviewed 9 February 2012

Had such a nice meal here recently. The starters were very nice and my fish main course was so tasty. The staff were just great, my only complaint would be my husband's filet steak was much smaller than expected - that is the priceiest item on the menu at nearly 28 euro. Still enjoyed this restaurant very much.

would go back.
