The cottage is not what is advertised, there are two for rent on the grounds of Cartron House, the one in the picture is in fact the lodge and that is unavailable! We were in a 3 bed cottage with a galley kitchen which was disappointing to discover after a long journey but we got used to it. I think curtains on the bedroom windows are necessary as they front on to a yard and anyone passing can clearly see in, similarily with the back bedroom window as the passage for the clothes line goes past this room, making it rather public!!!! It is situated in a tiny village, a car is essential. There is a walk on the grounds which is great. The owners are lovely, made us very welcome.

I spend a week with my family in Cartron lodge. The place is nice and quiet. As the owner has also a B&B there is possibility to have a full Irish breakfast which is nice. The house is well equipped and the beds are good.
