My boyfriend and I came in around 9:30pm, just as the kitchen was closing. Upon asking if they were still serving food, the bartender/waitress said "hmm, the kitchen is closing, but I might be able to do some roast beef?" We told her that would be wonderful, and got a pint of Guinness each as we waited. The staff heavily exceeded our already low expectations (since the kitchen was essentially closed). The roast beef they brought us was plentiful, smothered in gravy, served with a side of roasted potatoes, and it was delicious! A moment later, the waitress came by with a boat of mashed potatoes and some other steamed veggies for each of us, which was also very good! Overall, the staff was wonderfully accommodating, and the food was great! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!

Delicious homemade food served in a friendly and welcoming way. This restaurant was a mid way point for us on a long journey and everyone was happy with their choice from the menu. One word of warning - go hungry! The helpings are big and filling. Sadly we were too full for the dessert :-(

I was accommodated by the owner by her serving me a lamb dish that was not on the menu. This was greatly appreciated.

Popped in for a bite to eat and a drink and to watch the match on telly. Asked the lady if thry are showing the soccer match and she turned it on so I ordered drinks and food. 5 minutes later she turned the tv over to the hurling that was already showing on another telly, apparently because a guy wanted to move from the bar to a table to eat his dinner and he couldn't see the tv with the hurling. We felt cheated and robbed.

Alas we visited this lovely wee pub for a quick bite, knowing that we were heading out for dinner later, we did not want to have too much. We had the ploughmans platter, it was over priced for what it was, €12 and consisted of 2 slices of ham, some cold chicken, salad and cheese. Now that being said it did the job and seeing other people's dishes pass by I know it was down to being a bad choice, the cod and chips looked great! Service was great and the place was lovely! So yes I take the blame for getting jealous of the other dishes and would go back, the staff were lovely.
