“Lovely”

A great quaint deeply historic place with nice people, restaurants and plenty for a family to do and see.
People compare this to Bantry but this is leagues ahead.

“Lovely little place”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

Stopped here for the day. Lovely seaside town with beautiful gothic style cathedral, colourful buildings, interesting memorials, museum, little park and some good local shops. The town is trying hard to be colourful and clean but there are empty buildings and a serious problem with local dog walkers. Not fun to dodge the mess on the main streets.

“nice day trip”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

While staying in Cork we decided to take a day trip to Cobh. It is easy to get to with trains from Kent station every hour. On arriving we came out of the station and docked beside us was a cruise liner, it was an amazing sight, the queenstown story about irish emigration is at the station and a good hour is needed for this. Further down the street is the White star line ticket office which is now used for a Titanic exhibit. There is a lovely park to take a break in before you venture up the hill to the cathedral which is stunning and has lovely views. Cobh is a lovely wee town with lots to see and do.
