Recent stay in this hotel was probably the best ever!! Not one negative comment. We had requested a room with a sea view and that is exactly what we got!! It was amazing!! The staff were so friendly, food was great. What more can I say!! Will definitely be back!!

The hotel is very tired, threadbare carpets, stains on chairs, cheap looking outside on the terrace! Not welcoming at all such a shame as its in a fantastic location. No bar to enjoy a drink before dinner, we didn't even get chance to look at a drinks menu, it was 'what do you want to drink, you can drink it in the reception or outside! We chose outside but it was full of a younger crowd, getting drunk an slobbering all over each other Our room could have been lovely apart from the mold all over the wall and patchy ceiling, dirty marks on doors an stains on the chairs. The bathroom also was very tired! We decided to eat in the restaurant, I ordered calamari which wasn't the best at all. Tasteless apart from a sweet onion taste on the batter, so obviously cooked on the same oil as the onion rings. I had fish an chips as a main, the fish was beautiful, the chips not the best. My husband had the burger which he enjoyed. Breakfast wasnt good at all. OK section on the buffet, we just had some orange juice. We both ordered the full Irish which we were told was cooked to order....not the case at all! It was all very obviously precooked an left under a heater. The tomato was dried up, cheap catering sausages tasteless, and greasy. Huge disappointment. There was nobody on reception when we were checking out so had to wait as we had to pay for dinner an drink. A huge shame as this hotel could be lovely if a little more love and attention to detail was applied. We won't be staying again sorry.

We had a little break away, my partner Mark and I. We stayed in the hotel and it was lovely. The restaurant has gorgeous views and the rooms are nice, clean and fresh. The young woman on reception, Sinead, was just the most loveliest person to welcome us to the hotel, she couldn't have done enough for us. She had lots of tips about what to do in the area as well. We will definitely come back to Cobh and stay at the Watersedge. The staff are excellent at this hotel, even the early morning breakfast staff were smiling at the crack of dawn.

Four of us stayed overnight & had evening meal here. We were lucky enough to be allocated 2 rooms with sea views that were an added bonus. Meal selection was not brilliant, BUT the food was high quality when it arrived. Staff everywhere were extremely helpful, & thanks to David Ruttle for sending my camera back to me in the post after I had stupidly left it .
Only one small comment/suggestion to the management. Please get a prominent sign on the wall adjoining your gates by the side of the hotel to direct your guests visiting with cars to your Car Park- which was not visible when we arrived & your sign at the moment that is on the inner wall cannot be seen when driving down towards your hotel !!

Room tip: Book well in advance & ask for a room with a sea view
