Four of us stayed overnight & had evening meal here. We were lucky enough to be allocated 2 rooms with sea views that were an added bonus. Meal selection was not brilliant, BUT the food was high quality when it arrived. Staff everywhere were extremely helpful, & thanks to David Ruttle for sending my camera back to me in the post after I had stupidly left it .
Only one small comment/suggestion to the management. Please get a prominent sign on the wall adjoining your gates by the side of the hotel to direct your guests visiting with cars to your Car Park- which was not visible when we arrived & your sign at the moment that is on the inner wall cannot be seen when driving down towards your hotel !!

Room tip: Book well in advance & ask for a room with a sea view

We recently enjoyed a relaxing two-night post-lockdown break in the Waters Edge. It was great to be back in this lovely hotel; we really missed it. We got a gorgeous big room facing right out onto the harbour. The water was so close it was almost as if we could dip our toes in it! The room was bright and airy and very clean, the bathroom was well-stocked with toiletries, and had a nice large shower. One thing we were very pleased with is the return of the hospitality tray - ours was covered in plastic so it was extra safe. Our two-night break included a three-course dinner on one evening, but due to the current pandemic, we dined in the hotel on both nights. The Covid-19 protocols here are excellent, and anybody considering visiting or staying in this hotel has nothing to worry about. There is a whole new team of young, enthusiastic, good-humoured and friendly waiting staff here, and they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Dinner on both nights was excellent, the quality of the food and standard of presentation was super, and the service was very good. Breakfast is a buffet type for cereals, juice etc, with hot breakfasts cooked to order. Attention to detail and customer service are always top class here, and we enjoyed our break so much that we have booked to go back in November. If you did nothing more than watch the busy shipping lane traffic moving up and down the channel, or the small tenders going to and from Haulbowline Naval Base, then you would be relaxing! We can’t wait to go back to Cobh.

Recently had a two night stay in this beautiful little hotel and must say we have no complaints. Its rated a 3 star hotel so we knew exactly what to expect and we weren't disappointed. We stayed in double room in front of building with a beautiful view of river Lee. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was fine. Check in was fast and we requested an early check in and the gentleman at reception duly obliged. The staff we friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and outdoor seating available with fantastic views. Dinner was perfect, reasonably priced with quality and quantity. Location was perfect and some lovely pubs, restaurants and coffee shops within few meters. Foto wildlife park is only 15 minutes by car and ferry to Spike island is just few meters from hotel. Cobh is fabulous little town to visit and for watersedge hotel and cobh a perfect combination for a short break.

Really nice hotel, had dinner and breakfast here as well which were lovely - the view of the harbour is fab! The room was very clean, comfortable and sanitised as well which was reassuring. The underground car park was very handy as well and the location is excellent, only a short walk to all the activities along the quay

Room tip: If you're looking to park here try and come earlier in the day as it seems to fill up quickly around dinner time

Popped in without a booking early evening during the raid and asked about having a drink and a meal. They could not have been nicer and the food was really tasty - freshly battered fish and a really tasty burger. We were able to enjoy the view over the bay and harbour - during our recent trip to Cork the staff here were by far the best - really genuinely friendly and efficient. would highly recommend eating here - will stay here the next time. Thank you.
