Lovely house so well decorated and every mod con you could want from the flat screen smart tvs on the wall to the American fridge freezer and massive cooker ( which we didn't use much lol) location was great as could walk to all pubs and shops. Loved the wooden shutters on the windows as well helped make ya feel so private. When we arrived there was milk in the fridge and some whisky left out which was a nice touch also loads of booklets on what to do and see whilst here and nice we a4 page with best local pubs, takeaway restaurants ( serrentos is a must) and taxi number's.. 1 negative if I had to be really fussy was no downstairs toilet but like I said not a complaint just a slight critic lol.. would definitely stay again..
Ken, the owner went out of his way to meet us on arrival to explain how things operate and he provided us with supplies till we could go shopping the next morning. The home was very comfortable with everything you need for a short or long stay. Very good kitchen with modern appliances and a stylish bathroom with constant hot water. Great position to town as you can walk to restaurants and pubs and view the ocean liners cruise the harbour of Cobh.Beds are excellent to ensure a good nights sleep. Ken was able to be contacted through out our stay by mobile or email. I would strongly recommend this home for a visit.
Such a beautifully decorated house with everything you would want for a great stay. Situated near to shops, bars and takeaways. Cobh is a lovely location with the Titanic museum and shops and bars. Lovely places to have breakfast and evening meals. Very welcoming locals, the Roaring Donkey is definitely a place to visit. The owners of the property, are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Although we did not cook a meal in the property there is more than adequate facilities and the lounge is very comfy with a great log burner. Great views from the front of the property. Cobh is about half hour train journey from Cork which is a great place to visit. Highly recommend staying here.
Visited Cobh to see family. We had seen the Town House on the website and it certainly didn't disappoint. Ken and Mairead were great hosts. Following our very late night arrival they had put supplies in the fridge for a full breakfast which was most welcome. The kitchen was well equipped and had every mod-con you could want. We found the house so comfortable we spent many nights in by the fire. Although there is no designated parking we had no problems parking outside the house. Although it didn't affect us and is no criticism, people less mobile may find it a bit of a climb when walking from the town centre. It is located within walking distance of some lovely pubs and restaurants. We would definitely stay again and have no hesitation in recommending The Town House. Definitely ticks all the boxes, thank you so much.
We stayed a week over Christmas, received a fantastic welcome, the place is spotlessly clean and crafted to a beautiful finish. We didn't eat in much as the town of Cobh is just outside the door, but the cooking facilities are great, can't recall how many gas rings, but a brilliant kitchen to cook up for 6-8 people.
3 bright bedrooms, no expense spared on the beds, ensuring a great night sleep.
Bright bathroom with large walk in shower.
The lounge is as nice as you see in the photo, a lot of effort went into designing and sourcing the materials, Wall mounted TV's in a number of the rooms, at least 2 downstairs and one in the master bedroom, all main sports available.
The Owners were available and very helpful with advice, but not in your face, we loved it and look forward to a return trip.
We loved the freedom over a hotel or B&B especially due to its proximity to so many food and drink options, 2-3 minutes walk, a car is not needed and of course you can mix it up and cook in too.
