We had the wonderful opportunity to call Four Directions Cottage home for 3 glorious nights. Mick and Laraine were fabulous hosts who went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay...and we definitely did!! After a long day of driving from our first stop along the Wild Atlantic Way, to Castletownbere, we arrived at their cosy cottage. From the moment we stepped into the cottage, we felt at home and had a wonderful care package of homemade bread, farm fresh eggs, butter, tea, and jam waiting for us. What a treat!!! It was the perfect location with easy access to great hiking, too many points of interest to list here, and great pub/restaurant food. We would highly recommend their place to everyone!!! There was also a binder in the cottage that was LOADED with information and recommendations of things to see, and do. Our only regret was that we had to leave. When we are fortunate enough to return .... we know exactly where we'll be staying again. This is a beautiful cottage in a lovely area. The views from the cottage were beautiful. Laraine and Mick were lovely left us a lovely starter pack.

Would definitely book again

The cosy and very clean cottage is at a stunning location, the view is magnificent! The cottage is really well equipped, it has everything you need; butter, eggs, milk, soap, books, dvd's, everything you wish for. There are a lot of leaflets with information about the ring of Beara in the cottage so you can plan trips in the area. The sheep in the surroundings are an extra bonus, especially if you can't sleep. Castletownbere is a 10 minute drive away from the village where you can buy your groceries, so a car is an necessity. Laraine and Mick are always at your service if you have any questions. They make a big effort for your perfect vacation. The only thing they couldn't manage for us was the weather....
