This is a tiny place, so not the best to go if you are a big group. But wow, absolutely loved it. Great atmosphere and location - on a bright day it is fab to check out the grassy knoll area on the other side of the road and take in the expanse of the bay. Or on a murky day simply head inside and soak up the cosy atmosphere.

Cordon bleu it may not be, but it is fantastic with the fish being very fresh and tasty. Mean sticky toffee pudding too. Service excellent.

Will be back. Finally, just up from the pub look out for the road sign stating "Waiters Crossing". To date the only one I've ever seen.

Reasonably priced fresh food. Delicious seafood chowder. Crab gratin was incredibly salty. I mentioned this to the waitress and she said 'yes, depending on who cooks it, sometimes it comes out too salty'. Never heard of on-the-job training? Fish main course was fresh and cooked very well.

Best mussels I've ever had, amazing and relaxing view and a caring waiter. A great and unexpected experience in this little town.

Good food in a rustic building overlooking the bay in a country setting. A very nice place to stop when we are out on a drive.

Staying in West Cork for a few days. Arundels mentioned by a few. So decided to try out. To start with a lovely drive from Bantry to Ahakista. We did not have a booking - called in around 5.45. The minute we walked in the door the person who greeted us engaged with us. We could eat downstairs as long as we were left by 19.30 or room upstairs opening at 6. We chose the latter option. We share a crab gratin starter. Oh just delicious. And we both had the fish & chips. Such a plentiful portion. A glass of Chardonnay & Merlot. Excellent. And great value. I will not be passing Arundels again without calling in. Would recommend booking for the evening so as not to be disappointed.
