A glorious stay in bantry bay!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 2 Jul 2017via mobile
We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Sean & Siobhan were very welcoming and couldn't wait to share their experiences of the local area. They helped us book in to local restaurants, provided us with local maps and our room was immaculate. The breakfast in a glass was a personal highlight and Sean's irish breakfast was to die for! Thank you, we will definitely be back!

After traveling from the States we arrived in Bantry very tired, and lost. My husband called Siobhan and she drove out to meet us. We arrived at the Seafort and were amazed at the lovely accommodations and views from our room. Sean and Siobhan made reservations for dinner for most of our evening meals and helped us with "discovering" all the gems of Ireland. Each breakfast was individually made to order, and delicious. We would highly recommend The Seafort to anyone visiting southern Ireland, many thanks to Sean and Siobhan.

Room tip: The Cottage House had two rooms up and down and were very quiet.

The location and the house are fabulous and breakfast was also very good. However the owner showed no flexibility with the check in policy , I can understand and respect the policy which I did after changing all my plans for the day but after arrival I was questioned on my choice of restaurant for dinner, we were reminded twice to be careful with the new carpet and we were also told not to slam the doors at 6 pm. I felt not welcome and could not wait to leave. I travel very often and never had a similar experience before. Maybe we just started on the wrong foot but I did not enjoy my stay.

You made the mistake of booking a restaurant in Cork for 6pm, and would not have been here before 10pm, I advised you of our policy which you should have seen, and suggested you either cancel the restaurant or us. You cancelled the restaurant and arrived at our house early. You did not knock or use doorbells, you chose to allow yourself access, where I found three of you walking around my house.

You made a mistake and blamed us for it. You were both rude and discourteous, and thought you could walk around our house with dirty shoes slamming doors. We have other guests so this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.

Stayed over Easter for four nights and enjoyed every minute, from the Hosts to the wonderful breakfasts, the views of bantry bay and the fabulous interior made this a trip to remember. This luxury boutique B&B would put some five star hotels to shame. WILL BE BACK

Room tip: all rooms are lovely we stayed in the kingfisher and this had a fab view of the bay with its own balcony

Wonderful setting. Very luxurious. Delightful hosts Seán and Siobhan. I could not have asked for anything more but even if I did, I am in no doubt that Seán and Siobhan would have provided it. AM-AZ-ING. First class service without being intrusive.

Room tip: All rooms are luxurious with a panoramic view of the harbour. There is a suite apart from the main house with added privacy.

We booked into the Seafort for one night and ended up staying for three. The owners Siobhan and Sean were so helpful, accomodating and friendly. They gave us so many tips on where to go and what sights so see, they even drove us into town every night and dropped us off at the pub!

We woke up to the smell of freshly baked crossiants every morning, breakfast also included a buffet of fresh local produce and a hot plated dish, it was amazing and was so much food we didn't need lunch.

The rooms were newly renovated and extremely clean and tidy, the bed was so comfortable.

Seafort was located in a very private and relaxing setting with a beautiful view. It was also close to the main town with shops, restaurants and pubs just minutes away.

Staying here really made our trip to Ireland. We had a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

    Thank you Siobhan and Sean!
