we've just returned home to wexford after staying 3 nights of the bank holiday at the sneem hotel! i can honestly say it was the best hotel ive ever stayed in, from the pleasent staff to the views and surroundings it was a fantastic trip and great value for money!
we arrived with 3 children on the friday night and the staff at the hotel reception were very accomodating even getting us an extra cot bed! breakfast was great, kids were very happy with a wide selection of items and even got a bun to bring off with them! sneem itself is a lovely little town, theres a little walkway beside the hotel 'the way the fairies went' which could be fixed up a little bit (old christmas decorations and broken bits and pieces strewn around trees) but kids loved it! we had dinner in the hotel on 2 nights and it couldnt be faulted, the food was amazing , the kids loved their colouring in menus and the staff were very patient with them! there was one lady on both nights, a local woman who was fab i think her name was sheila? my 3 yr old took a shine to her she was great!
the rooms were quite big and we were over looking the water which was beautiful.
all in all sneem is a great base to explore kerry, we will definitely be back next year!

Excellent staff and lovely red setter dog called red! Really makes you feel at home and very welcoming. Lovely walks into the village and a fab view of the lake! You can hire out bikes which are great fun. Delicious food and bar area and a kids area to keep your kids busy for the day! I would surely go back there again !!

Absolutely perfect in every way. Beautiful surroundings, fantastic and friendly staff who are always willing to help and smile.
Food is excellent in comfortable surroundings and with a view to die for.
Would highly recommend it for a holiday or even a night or two of relaxation and pampering.

Two families of us stayed in the Sneem Hotel 2 Bedroom Apartments. They were spotless and great size with all the Mod Cons overlooking the mountains and a lovely little pier as well. Lovely nature walk also to Sneem village which had lovely cafe and restaurants and very friendly people. Fourteen of us also had a fab meal in the hotel which staff were well able to cater for with great menu choice and delicious food. Overall a five star stay and great location to nearby beaches and walking trails.

Myself, my husband and our two young children recently stayed in the Sneem Hotel for 5 nights. Situated on the edge of beautiful Sneem Village the hotel is spacious airy and well laid out. Its is a very family orientated hotel where children can run around and play without being at risk or in the way of staff and ours made lots of new friends. The hotel is surrounded by landscaped gardens, wooded fairy trails and overlooks a beautiful lake (ask for a room at the back of the hotel). Everything about it is spacious and relaxing so it is unfortunate that the service is lacking at times. We ate on a few occasions in the bar but the food presented was less than described on the menu and drinks were missing which we had to subsequently remind about. Our room was always tidied but parts of it were dusty. Some of the staff don't seem to know what they are doing, let alone deal with a compliant while others make little or no eye contact especially at the bar.
Luckily Sheila and Kamilla in the bar/restaurant do an excellent, professional job and nothing is too much trouble. I also have to mention manager Louise O'Flaherty to whom l brought the above concerns and who both apologised and assured me she would address them with the relevant staff.
Kerry is one of the most beautiful Irish counties to holiday in and Sneem has a magic of its own so we may just have to make a return trip in the future....:)

Room Tip: If travelling with a baby book an appartment. Hotel rooms have no fridge and the kettles are too small to fit a bottle in
