The house looks modern on arrival, but inside it feels as if you are going back in time to an excellent Country House. Our choice would normally be modern, but Tahillha Cove was something special. The setting could not be beaten with such amazing views from the windows. Well equipped bedroom with inside and outside seating, large lounge and television room for guests plus a bar. The breakfasts were superb, especially the fruit platters! Everything was well cooked and well presented, and served by a delightful friendly waitress. James was an excellent host, offering very good advice, giving us maps and directions and we went on some lovely walks. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Although the exterior of the house looks like a modern country home, one step into this fine establishment and you'll immediately be transported to a different time. A mustard yellow carpeted floor and photos from the 1900s, together with a rustic ornamentation give this wonderful home the feel of a well preserved and meticulously curated european country lake house. The rooms are spacious with fantastic views of the bay that outlines the property. Breakfast is excellent. The service is prompt and the food is tasty. Traditional irish fare goes a long way in their quaint dining room that opens up to the bay with floor to ceiling glass windows. Happy hour brings with it the sunset and the opening of the bar. James, the host prepares delicious drinks that are of a quality that is consistent with all other facets of the top notch service that is characteristic of this establishment. I would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity. Go for a walk around the premisses or jump into the atlantic off the private pier for a quick swim. A must for anyone looking for accommodation with character, class, privacy and unparalleled service.

Room tip: best views, excellent service, great vibes.

What a wonderful place - clean, friendly, comfortable, great breakfast and perfect situation within stones throw of the laugh. Even better it is right at the start, of end, of the Ring of Kerry. Have not been a better b&b anywhere

A very special place with genuine charm. Peaceful and tranquil, on a tidal bay near the estuary of the Kenmare river. The owners are very welcoming and helpful, as are their staff.
The breakfasts are difficult to beat, the bedrooms spacious, the view delightful.
