The absolute pinnacle of Irish hospitality and welcome. Been coming to The Towers for years and Breda and the team never fail to create the warmest atmosphere. This place is a must to soak up the best of Ireland. The restaurant and bar have a magical ambience. Rooms and entire place spotlessly clean, food very fresh and top quality. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Absolute rip off, place needs total refurbishment. Wouldn't advice anyone to waste their money here, drive on to better value and comfort. I even wrote to the Director of this establishment and they didn't even have the courtesy to reply.

Booked 2 nights in this hotel and I should have smelled a rat when asked to pay upfront. Stayed in room no 3 which was like being in a fish bowl no privacy. Supposed to be a deluxe room. Room was clean and other than that an awful stay. There is no air conditioning so had to leave the windows open. We got no sleep due to the carry on from some other guests and a pub directly across the road. We went for breakfast and the tables had dirty table cloths and dead flies on the surrounding surfaces. We contacted management to say that we could not stay the 2nd night. She said that she only lived down the road and had heard the carry on and agreed to refund us the 2nd nights stay. We proceeded to collect our bags and check out only to be told that she had changed her mind. What a horrible way to treat guests. I don't usually write reviews like this but I could not recommend anyone to stay here. We paid €414 for 2 nights b&b so paid in fact €414 for 1 nights b&b. Would only give this premises a 2 star rating. The waiter service was also very bad be prepared to wait a while.

I read the lovely reviews on this hotel, so booked it via the hotel website.

1. Nice breakfast, good selection
2. Staff members Aoife on reception and Brendan on breakfast were very nice.
3. Clean room

4. Torn bed linen (photo attached)
5. Each staff member said a different thing...we can do dinner in this part of hotel as we are resident/ no you can't because of Covid. We felt very unwelcome. (I saw two people eating dinner in the bar next day, this was declined to us 'due to Covid'). On reflection, we were back from our walk and had coats on. I firmly belived that the staff member thought we were visitors who booked a table; she did not clarify that we were residents until I said it.
5. Exceptionally poor Covid precautions, tables too close together. No alcohol gel on tables. Some visitors not wearing masks in hotel.
6. One staff member prioritised visitors over us "I'll get you a table outside". It started to rain shortly after. We left and got food elsewhere.
7. Two course dinner with 2 drinks each was €74. No change provided. The person assumed the change was a tip? (Always happy to tip generously, but this was cheeky).Average meal. Scampi and chips was €18 per person.
8. On request, staff member brought dessert menu. No order ever taken as no one returned to us. Had to find staff member to pay bill.
9. We were asked to pay for stay on arrival. This was unusual, but I did as requested. My husband thought it was strange. When we arrived at the room, it was poor quality for the cost. The charge on arrival should have been a red flag, I was niave. Bed was a 4'6" double. Small in todays standards. A single occupany room would generally have this size.
10. Huts were in situ to provide outdoor dining. I asked if we could book one for dinner, but was told residents could eat inside and huts were for non-residents.

€160per night for double room.
See images, make your own opinion on if it is worth it. I waited a while before writing this review as writing negative comments is not in my nature. It appeared that the owner/s did not use the lockdown period to update/upgrade the hotel; it was a shame not to have used the closure time.

We were really disappointed and saddened by our experience. I loved Glenbeigh and will visit again but we will choose alternative accomodation. In hindsight, we should have spoken to the manager before leaving, but I was upset that the visit had not gone well after waiting months. I just wanted to leave quickly and get home. There was no one on reception when we left.

My fiance and myself had just gotten engaged two weekends ago and called into the towers Hotel, Glenbeigh after a nice walk on the beech . One of the members of staff had overheard us on a Phone call telling family members we had gotten engaged earlier that morning. After we had finished our tasty soups the staff bought out a complimentary chocolate fudge dessert to our surprise and sang congratulations for us. Was a really nice touch and was greatly appreciated by the both of us. It is a great memory and made a special day been more memorable. We will definitely be back to stay in the future and if the place is any bit like it was when we visited three weekends ago we will not be disappointed. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thanks to the towers Hotel and their staff Again. All the best, Stephen
