Hates his customers

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Aug 2024
Not for me unfortunately. Concentration camp. Came here for a dog show and the owners contempt for paying customers was too palpable foe me thanks. The kitchen is a dump and paid showers are unacceptable for the price he charges. No one around when you need him but spying on you in case you do something not within his rule book.

The pitches we had for our tent with a wooden picnic table in the middle was great.
Showers were warm and plenty of space. On a busy weekend morning they could have been kept cleaner.

The campsite got busy at the weekend but all were friendly.

Considering the numbers being accommodated the kitchen facilities were basic.
The fridge was disgusting and smelled of rancid milk. Some food rotting in there.
            Some old second hand furniture.
Kitchen benches had seen better days and generally grubby. Kettle was caked in limescale and the microwave was yellow with age.
            Wi-Fi poor.
It had potential but with the rather unfriendly notices showed little care/respect for the visitors.

thank you for your review, the only reason we have signs up is because residents wont do the right thing and we have to spoon feed some with lots of information.eg sign says -plastic,card , and cans- in it I find tea bags coffee and general rubbish so I have to put up another sign of what not to put in bin. Some of the furniture in the kitchen is not modern but is comfortable and usable and wont be changed . Most campers cook outside if the weather is fine and our kitchen is generly used if the weather is bad. as with hostels the users are supposed to help to keep the kitchen clean as some do , and take their left over food away with them . A sign I saw in a hostel which we should have (please clean up after yourself, your mother dosent work here). We have a lot of limscale here and it dosent make any difference to the kettle or the water. The microw wave is faded in colour but dosent inhibit it from working.Wifi is poor. This is a campsite budget accodation.

Easy to find. Camp was clean and tidy. Decent pitches. Decent kitchen. Very good toilet and shower block. Clean. Tidy. Well lit. Free hairdryer. Half a Euro for good hot shower.
Camp on our visit was rather noisy. Some of the fellow campers were noisy late into the night despite the noise curfew. Our neighbour was unpleasant and unwelcoming, and smoked near our campervan so we had to move pitch. I think this experience will vary, and is going to be down to chance. All others at the site were friendly and pleasant.
WiFi was very poor - all over the campsite. It would come and go. Very unreliable. There was no place it was more reliable than others - even near the camp office it was off more often than on.
The campsite itself was rather plain and boring. Lacked charm. However it was fine, and served its purpose.

It was our first camping ever and we were delighted to stay and learn about the camping. On your arrival you gave to check in and then you would be showing your place to stay. It wasn’t crowded or tents staying very close to each other. There are all facilities that you need to stay: restrooms, showers, kitchen with all essential appliances, socket station for caravans, playground and somewhere eating tables if you are lucky. It’s safe and pleasant to stay at the fresh air, with singing birds and donkeys at the field. Highly recommended!

Room tip: Parking is free, advised to have 50 cents coins for taking shower.
