Patricia was a very kind host and such a sweetheart. House is quiet, rooms are well-kept, and we slept very well there. Breakfast is made to order and she offers delicious tea and cupcakes! The house is a short walk from the church, restaurants, and tourist office.

We stayed on our way in and out of Ireland and in different rooms each time. Adare has a great visitor center and it is close enough to Shannon airport to make a great place to stay. Although the upstairs WiFi was not good, the sitting room was available with great reception. The glass panel mentioned by another person was not an issue. Patricia was very accommodating and the breakfast provided delicious. A beautiful river walk from the B&B takes you to the beginning of a lovely walk and view of the castles, monasteries, churches, parks and cottages.

Aspen House was just ok. We had two rooms and both had a musty smell. One room had a glass panel above the door and the hallway light was on all night, which prevented our room from getting dark. If you like to sleep in a dark room, you will not enjoy this--it was like sleeping with a light on. The wifi internet signal is also very weak--barely worked in both of our rooms.
Patricia was nice in letting us park our rental car in her lot while we did the Ring of Kerry tour from the Adare Heritage Center. However, when we rang her doorbell to let her know that we were taking our car after our tour, we asked if we could use the restrooms explaining we would now be driving from Adare to Shannon. She refused our request saying she had no vacancies so there wasn't a bathroom for us to use (despite a sign saying there were vacancies at the door). The Adare Heritage Center was closed, the convenience store nearby did not have a restroom, and Patricia didn't even make a suggestion as to where we should go. Would not stay here again.

My girlfriend and I had a very tight schedule in order to make it to an Ed Sheeran concert in Cork, and the hosts were so accommodating for our schedule! So we really appreciated that. This building is very cute and has its own off street parking, and breakfast was delicious. In a quiet area a little removed from the main road, but easily walkable to the main stretch of pubs and restaurants. Thank you Patricia for a great stay!

We have been staying at Aspen House since 2001 and love being in the pretty town of Adare. Patricia has always welcomed us with a pot of tea in the parlor and she and Richard take the time to chat with us and make us feel right at home. The Irish breakfast, comfortable beds and spotless rooms make Aspen House our go to place in Adare.
