I left Dublin stressed and not sure what to expect when I arrived to The Henry,s on the Long Strand. I was exhausted and telephoned from Clonakilty to say I would be there in Twenty minutes but needed to sleep. I was greeted at the door by smiling Marie who escorted me to my exquisite room, (She even put a hot water bottle into my bed!) The room is beautiful, lovely decor and the most comfortable bed I have slept in. The view from the room stretches out over the atlantic Ocean and at night the beam from the Galley Head light house glows peacefully across the water and up towards the house. The whole place is magical, it is truly one of the most beautiful vistas I have ever seen.
Marie is one of the pleasant people I have met and will stop at nothing to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful breakfast awaits in the morning, with freshly squeezed orange juice and freely ground coffee or herbal teas if you wish. and a beautiful breakfast.
Nothing is a problem for Marie, and that is very evident as soon as you walk in the door. This is truly a haven of tranquility, and I have been down several times since my first in April. I could not recommend Henry’s more highly and will continue to visit there as often as I can. `thank you both Marie for such hospitality.
