I recently went to Stakes on my Scottish/Irish vacation. I must say, the food was the most incredible I had on the entire trip. We actually went back the next night because the Seafood chowder was just that good. The two entrees that I had were equally as good, the service was excellent, and I have no reservation in saying that if you find yourself in Bundoran, STAKES IS A MUST!

Service from the front of house is First Class every time we visit this restaurant, always made welcome and greeted with a smile from the girls. Delicious chunky chips, a change from frozen we get elsewhere . Thanks for accomodating our children with your home made chicken strips even though they are no longer on the menu .

We traveled from Vancouver to Ireland this month and stopped over on Bundoran. Aside from the the beauty of Bundoran Stakes restaurant was the highlight of our stay. He staff were attentive and friendly. The head chef Vlad was accommodating and the food was absolutely amazing. Try seafood chowder. You will not be disappointed! 5 stars hands down.

An early bird family meal when the restaurant is quiet had us expecting fast service and good food as the menu read quite well. However the food was a let down and like every menu in Bundoran except La Sabbia, overpriced. We had the cod which was okay, a steak on a mountain of onions which was greasy but cooked medium as requested and a seafood pasta which was very lacking in seafood.

Ate here recently despite town been busy this place was quiet so was a little concerned when we went in but no need. It was good food good service would go again.
