We traveled from Vancouver to Ireland this month and stopped over on Bundoran. Aside from the the beauty of Bundoran Stakes restaurant was the highlight of our stay. He staff were attentive and friendly. The head chef Vlad was accommodating and the food was absolutely amazing. Try seafood chowder. You will not be disappointed! 5 stars hands down.

An early bird family meal when the restaurant is quiet had us expecting fast service and good food as the menu read quite well. However the food was a let down and like every menu in Bundoran except La Sabbia, overpriced. We had the cod which was okay, a steak on a mountain of onions which was greasy but cooked medium as requested and a seafood pasta which was very lacking in seafood.

Ate here recently despite town been busy this place was quiet so was a little concerned when we went in but no need. It was good food good service would go again.

I recently ate at Stakes with my family and was impressed with the quality of the food and excellent service. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was delicious, service prompt and the bill reasonable. We eat out in Belfast regularly and Stakes beats anything we've experienced closer to home. Would highly recommend!

We ate in here last week for a birthday meal and it was absolutly disgusting. First of all we gave the waiter the order and when he read it back to us there was 3 mistakes. Hard to understand because all we ordered was 2 mains and 2 sides. We had the mixed grill. The steak was full of fat as was tbe pork. Ordered a portion of mushrooms and there was about 4 mushrooms in the dish. We also ordered the chicken stir fry which was flavourless, the broccoli was rock hard and the peppers were soggy. 100% will not be back!!!!
