I stayed in one of the self catering cottages during my time in Enniscoe. They were absolutely beautiful. A perfect Irish country cottage experience, including wood fire, prepared and ready to light. The bedrooms had everything you need and the bed was very comfortable.

The grounds are astoundingly beautiful and perfectly kept. The woods lead down to a lake where you get some of the most beautiful views. You will also bump into some of the locals walking their dogs, something which I thought was a lovely addition for the community.

For any stargazers, you couldn't get a better location. Zero light pollution so you can enjoy the stars on a clear night (which we had).
You are made to feel so welcome during your stay. Couldn't recommend staying here enough.

We loved our stay. The bedroom with canopied huge bed and wonderful bathroom were delightful. Sitting in front of the fire with our dogs after an excellent dinner chatting to our hostess - I could almost believe that we were guests of the family in a pre war country house. Wonderful

When i arrived at the etate i was blown away with the grounds and woods surrounding the main house. I was greeted with open arms from the wonderful host DJ and his mother Susan. The house has been beautifully maintained with the rich family and property history on proud display. The staff on site were very knowledgeable of each room, and the history of every painting to every table. It was like stepping back into the 1800's. The one thing that took me by surprise was the way you were welcomed, not as a guest but as a distant family member (the words "our home is you're home" ) and that for me showed hospitality above and beyond i've ever experienced.

If you want to have an escape away from the outside world and to experience something special during your time in Ireland i highly recommend a stay in Enniscoe.

From the lake shore to the multiple forests, to the ornamental garden and the organic garden the site is huge and you will find something new to discover.

Room Tip: The main house has three large rooms (all have ensuite's and stunning views)

A really special place to stay. I couldn't fault it. Susan and Dj were brilliant hosts, the food was amazing, the house and grounds are very special. As it was a family event we go to see all the bedrooms and all are just magic. Lovely and warm for such an old house too and we had a lovely fire in the drawing room each night. Can't recommend it enough

We've just returned from Enniscoe House where we had the loveliest weekend celebrating a happy family event. Susan and DJ were such gracious and lovely hosts. Our age group ranged from 5 months to 70 years and all of us enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

The house is beautifully kept, a huge task with a 1700's building. DJ was great at filling us in on the history too. The bedrooms were spacious, warm and comfortable and had great views of the grounds and gardens.

We had dinner on both evenings and it was delicious and the staff looking after us were just lovely. I'd certainly recommend this place and we're looking for an excuse to return again in the future.
