Hannah Quigley's Leim Siar B&B was the highlight of 7 days travelling the Wild Atlantic Way. Welcomed with open arms, a big smile and the most delicious homemade scones we were so happy to find this comfortable, clean, homely B&B. You're made to feel like you've come home,
We had a room each ( my friend and I) and we both had one of the best night's sleep on our holiday. If that wasn't enough to make us happy we then had Hannah's magnificent breakfast (I had full Irish) my friend chose a smaller portion.
If you're heading to Ireland you'd be a fool to miss this gem right at the end of the An Fod Dubh peninsula on Blacksod Bay.
There is a comfortable lounge and warm and friendly dining area where you can help yourself to copious amounts of cups of tea, coffee and of course Hannah's delicious scones.
I will be going back in a heartbeat if ever back again down near Belmullet. Thank you Hannah and Jerry and all the lovely people we met.

Room Tip: any of them- all lovely

As wonderful a hostess as we’ve ever been graced with. She was incredible. Lovely breakfast, great location (both remote and near a simple pub), comfortable rooms. But many B and Bs have these things. No one else has Hannah!!

There's something about Black Sod that gives you an island experience although it is still a penninsula.. we were so well looked after by Hannah. The views were amazing and her breakfast was delicious ... her brown bread is awesome.
Una's pub is just down the road and definitely worth an evening visit.. we really enjoyed it and our trip over the hill and around the peninsula before we left was fantastic. Hannah gave us tips about taking the north road by the coast on our trip back South. The morning views from our room were spectacular. Thank you Hannah and Gerry for a fantastic stay.. next time we will definitely stay longer.

Hanna is very helpful and welcoming, very informative about the area and will engage you in friendly conversation. The accommodation is first class, very clean and car parking is on the propertyl. Room had en suite and tv as well as free wi-fi and the bed was very comfortable.
Blacksod is a beautiful place to visit. There are small sheltered strands, a lighthouse with a met station that helped with the D Day landings and a sculptured stone circle among other sights. While we were there, a pod of dolphins came in with the fishing boats.
The pub is 50 yards down the road and it makes for a beautiful stroll in the gloaming, there was still some light about, when we left it at midnight
There is a very good breakfast, basically all you want: juices, fruit, cereals, fry, pancakes etc. And it is reasonably priced

Room Tip: Ask Hanna!

This was my second stay at Leim Siar and I certainly was not disappointed. The accommodation is first class to a very high standard; spotlessly clean and car parking plentiful. Room had en suite and tv as well as free wi-fi and the bed was extremely comfortable. The guest sitting room has fantastic views over Blacksod and a welcome fire if you just want to 'chill' at the end of the day by reading or watching TV. The pub is literally across the road for those who may wish to finish their day with a drink.... or two!
The guest 'breakfast' room has better provision than most hotels. The food is plentiful (Full Irish and i certainly was full) and delicious and there are cereals; yogurt and fruit and really anything you may desire. Hannah is also a wonderful baker and her bread and scones are "to die for".
The accommodation is ideally placed to explore this beautiful part of Ireland. The Bay Coast part of the Wild Atlantic Way but i would urge anyone visiting to stay awhile and experience what this area has to offer.
Would I recommend? Absolutely
Will I be returning? Definitely
