“Not the traditional Irish experience we were looking for!”
Reviewed 12 June 2011

The night began with soothing sounds of the harp in aice le tine. The relaxing atmosphere didn't last long as each song was interrupted by the invasion of every stag and hen party in the country who made there way to the back of the pub where the sounds of rihanna provided an unwelcome undertone to the fiddle and flute up front. Boozed up bucks ogling equally inebriated hens was not the traditional Irish experience we were looking for.

“What a joke.”
Reviewed 9 June 2011

We were treated with such disrespect in this place that all we could talk about was how much we wanted to write a bad review. Sound petty? No doubt. True? Certainly. This place is a joke. When I had a drink stolen from me, I was told from the manager that they would "watch the cctv the next day" and "see what happened..." Maybe they'll notice our payback on those videos... us pouring our own drinks. Good luck folks. This place is not the real deal and these owners don't care about anybody... unless it's closing time and then they care about you... getting the F out of there.

There are far greater things to do in Dingle.

“Rude, Rude, Rude. An embarrassment to Irish hospitality!”
Reviewed 8 June 2011

I went to An Droichead Beag with my Irish family and we had some American family who were visiting Ireland for the first time. We went there on a Saturday night to hear some Traditional Irish music beacause it was recommeded by a waiter in a local restaurant that added "it gets a bit rough there later in the night". Understatement! No sooner was the trad music finished but the place was PACKED with the drunkest people i've ever seen (and not in a good way ;) ). Later in the night my fiance bought a pint and three whiskeys at the bar. He turned around and placed the whiskey's on the table where I was sitting 10 feet away when he went back to the bar 3 seconds later my pint of beer was gone. when we brought this to the attention of the barman he shrugged his shoulders and said "i've better things to be doing than watching your pint". RUDE!! We bought another pint and brought our situation to the attention of the manager who agreed with the barman and couldn't care less that our pint had been stolen. I am a proud Irish girl who loves to show people the best of Ireland. The customer service at this pub is a disgrace to all the wonderful, friendly, genuine people in the hospitality industry of Ireland. Don't give them your business because they don't care about your experience of their pub in the slightest!

“Great Local Stop”
Reviewed 5 June 2011

This was our first pub where we had out first Guinness and it was heavenly. We were a bit worried about it but once we got in, the locals chatted with us and it was very relaxing. Something about that accent.

“Fun pub, good music, but very crowded”
Reviewed 28 January 2011

An Droichead Beag is a fun pub, and you should try to listen to some music there. But it is a bit crowded (mostly tourist) and therefore loses some of its charm compared to other pubs in Western Ireland.
