Full disclosure, after staying at the Sheen Falls in Kenmare for 3 nights, the Dingle Skellig was a little disappointing. The hotel is in a great location for travelling around the Dingle Peninsula and we had a decent 2 night stay, however, it's really dated and in need of some upgrades. We reserved two rooms. When we arrived into one of the rooms, it was clear that it hadn't been properly serviced, as there was half-eaten food on the dresser, the bathroom had been used and the bed sheets were a mess. That said, when I called down to reception, they were friendly, apologetic, got me a new room and offered a bottle of wine as an apology.

The room I ended up with was okay for the two nights, except that it was extremely hot and the windows would only stay open a crack. Overall, I was a little underwhelmed.

Dear Ash,

Thank you for staying with us recently and I am disappointed to read your review. I am sorry that you were underwhelmed as this is not something which we hear very often. I am glad we were able to rectify the room servicing issue and again apologise for this.

We stayed here at last minute as a drive up, the Receptionist was wonderful, very kind and professional, worked hard to accommodate us and gave us a lovely room and dinner package. Room was beautiful and comfortable, the Dinner was delicious and the views are superb from the Restaurant, very attentive and pleasant staff. What we were most impressed with was the swift handling of a very unpleasant incident at 3am, we were awaken to a loud argument outside our room involving a naked female guest and a clearly very drunken male partner ,both having a heated argument.following a wedding reception being held at the Hotel. we informed reception and security dealt with it very quickly, what was most impressive was the pro active way we were looked after as a result on check out, we did not ask for anything but were very impressed and will certainly be back for a long weekend in future, I cannot rate this Hotel highly enough.

Busy hotel Lovely views and spotless rooms with very pleasant housekeeping staff .overall we enjoyed our short stay .Lovely pool .Unfortunately we hadn't booked spa treatments in advance hence they were fully booked on arrival . Breakfast was buffet with plenty choices .We had dinner both nights with a very good choice menu .Food was excellent .This hotel has a lovely setting looking out on the Bay ..Weather was very unkind with lots of rain which was a pity .As we visited in peak season it is expensive at that time of year .

Everything was lovely in the hotel, very clean, staff very helpful exceptional weather the weekend we stayed which only enhanced a lovely location. Breakfast was very busy, but the staff were extremely efficient but also we didn't feel hurried. We ate out in Single town most evenings, but we did eat in hotel on the last evening and it was certainly comparable to the very good restaurants in the town

Excellent location allowing beautiful walk along inlet, 5 mins to Dingle marina and centre of this very charming & unique town. Although an older property with lots of dark wooden interiors it has everything required and a great terrace with excellent views-no complaints.
