“Fantastic hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2012

We had a lovely stay at this fantastic hotel. It is a very modern and clean hotel, situated only a short walk from Kenmare town. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. All the staff seem to get on very well and this creates a lovely atmosphere. The food in the restaurant was top quality. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Kenmare.

Staff very helpful and friendly. From coffees to the room at any time, to the staff minding our 9 week old baby while we had our breakfast. With out even asking.

Really enjoyed staying here. Food was *really* good at the restaurant (I had a gourmet fish and chips - three kinds of fish, including salmon, fab chips and mushy peas) ... only wish I had enough room for dessert! The rooms were brilliant - warm, comfortable, big, spotlessly clean and welcoming. The beds were blissful. The location is great (only a few minutes walk from the centre of Kenmare without being right in the middle of the bustle). But the best thing about the hotel was the staff - so lovely, ready for a bit of a craic, kind, welcoming, and generous. We came in on a cold night, and they offered us a cup of tea and a slice of warm pie (with a dollop of heavy cream) by the open fire. They never charged us for this bit of kindness, and that special touch made this place absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was a bit of a struggle - but we arrived very early and things hadnt quite geared up yet. Though I just loved the hot porridge with cream and honey. Superb.

We arrived in Kenmare without a reservation and chose Brook Lane based on TripAdvisor reviews. (We drove by the Coachmans Townhouse first and didn't like the look of it.) Very welcoming lady at the front desk gave us a lovely warm room. It was a large, very nicely furnished room, big bathroom with underfloor heating, bathrobes, slippers. One disappointment was that the sheets and towels were very rough - seemed they needed a good dose of fabric softener! IBreakfast was quite good - very good fruit compote and stewed rhubarb and the eggs were delicious. Unfortunately the room that breakfast was served in was very cold which spoiled my enjoyment of the food. Admittedly it was a very cold day, but that was a shame. If we were visiting the area again, we'd be happy to stay there again.
