... our first night of our journey was to Kenmare - when planning itinerary it was hard to decide whether to spend the night in Killarney or Kenmare and we were so glad Kenmare one! Virginia's Guesthouse was the perfect choice and whether a brief stay like ours or longer the location was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for lovely hosts Neal & Noreen and from booking to arrival to departure our experience with them was great. Breakfast was brilliant and our stay lived up to all the positive reviews previously posted.

Congratulations Noreen & Neal on providing a wonderful taste of Irish hospitality - we will return and will not hesitate to stay with you - and for longer next time!

Kind regards, Trudy and Robyn

After a 2 week trip touring around Scotland and Ireland, what a nice and welcome surprise to have saved the best service and experience of them all until last. From the first moment of meeting Noreen until the very last, we felt we were treated like family. Nothing was too much trouble. Noreen couldnt have been more accommodating and was genuinely happy to go the extra mile. The breakfast she prepared was amazing. There is no chance of leaving hungry that's for sure. Put simply, if you're looking to stay in Kenmare, look no further.

Not only are hosts Neal and Noreen artisans of Irish hospitality, their breakfasts are sheer perfection. During my recent 6 night stay at the guesthouse I was able to sample nearly everything on the menu and each dish got an "A" rating (A+ for the plums poached with star anise and cardamom served over yogurt...as well for the banana pancakes).

Clean rooms, a reliable wi-fi connection, accommodating service, great location, and a wonderful town made this a great value.

I spent 4 nights at Virginia's Guesthouse, and it was wonderful. The location is wonderful. We could go shopping or have a meal, and then walk back. The room was charming. I was not bothered by noise, and there are earplugs available. The bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast was the "best". I had porridge most mornings with a wee touch of Bailey's to start my day. Noreen's tomato chutney is to die for. How Noreen and Neil do such wonderful breakfasts out of the little kitchen is beyond me.
They were very helpful in making suggestions of restaurants and places to visit. Neil was very honest about places we should visit and those we should skip. I enjoyed talking with them and learning about the area.
Neil, you were so gracious about all of our luggage. Thank you Neil and Noreen for such a lovely stay.
