We visited here at the start of our walk and bought homemade Eccles cakes & fruit & seed flapjack for our walk. The choice of cakes made it difficult to choose. Both cakes were absolutely delicious. The lady behind the counter was very friendly. They also serve hot & cold drinks if you want to eat there. It’s a community based shop/ cafe so great to support the locals. Highly recommended

Pulled in for a quick coffee but was seduced into sampling a piece of homemade cake. An adaption of the local Bakewell Tart.
The shop is run by volunteers and the lady who was on duty when we arrived was warm and friendly.
We were able to sit outside under a tree giving us some shade on a very warm day.
The coffee was hot, came in a decent sized mug and was very tasty.
The cake did not disappoint, moist, tasty and again a decent portion. I had mine with a good dollop of icecream.
Fairly priced and good portions, would call again.

We stopped off here on a bike ride last week, the coffee and cakes (raspberry & pistachio for me!) were amazing. We had a chat with the local community treasurer, this shop supports local playgroups etc, sadly this cafe has had very poor trade this year due to the weather. If your ever nearby this lovely village make this your cafe! Treat yourselves and support the community

Called into this lovely little shop just by chance after having a walk in the wonderful Peak District. What a gem it is,and what an asset to the village, the villagers and the tourists who like us find it.
They sell all sorts from groceries, books, cards garden ornaments, ice creams which by the way was delicious, and much more.
There is a cafe with lovely homemade cakes seating outside for when the weather is warm and all this run by volunteers.
The lady who served us was really friendly, and really made us feel welcome Thankyou.
