We stayed in a rosewood cottage with our 4 month old baby and found the facilities to be perfect- we were provided a cot with a nice thick mattress and even cot blankets. Other facilities included a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Having two bathrooms was handy and the whirlpool bath was great for relaxing in. The cottage was very clean and well maintained and the site had pleanty to keep the family entertained. The only niggle we had was that the dining table was a little too large for the dining area and we had to keep getting up to let others get out from the table. The free membership to the China fleet health club was a great bonus as you can also use the 'heatwaves' section with hot tub, sauna, steam etc.The membership also gave you discounts on the food there and we enjoyed a great sunday lunch.

On looking for a last-minute break in Cornwall, I came across the Crylla Valley website & was very pleased to see they had availability. We booked into a "Valley View" cottage, which was exceptionally clean, very spacious and incredibly well stocked - having stayed in many self catering places before, I'd never seen anywhere that was so well provided for.
The partnership with China Fleet Country Club was a massive draw to us booking the cottage, but in reality we only used it once as the facilities on site were so good (but I did enjoy the 10% off at The Barn hair & beauty, whilst the rest of the family went swimming!). Crylla has a big lawn with games such as swing ball, badminton/volley ball, lots of mini slides etc for our baby to enjoy, plus 2 larger permanent playgrounds. The DVD library went down a storm with our teenage girls, plus there is a large selection of board games on site for those who want more interactive family fun.
The location of the site is great for exploring the whole of North Cornwall. Only embarking on a relatively short drive each day, we managed to visit Padstow, Polzeath, Kingsand, Cawsand, St Austell, Fowey, Looe and Tavistock. There are also heaps of activities nearby, such as Tree Surfing, and Adrenalin Quarry (the UK's longest zip wire).
We will definitely visit Crylla again, and have already recommended it to friends. Thanks to the team for the great service & hospitality!
