Great pizza which were huge, we should have shared and got some salad to go with the pizza. Nice to see the pizzas being made at the counter

Whilst staying at the Rutland Arms in Bakewell we discovered they own the building across the yard called ‘The Juniper’ which in actual fact is a pizza restaurant (but with a difference!).

This is a pizza restaurant unlike anything you could imagine. Whilst cooking your pizza on a hot stone, they are also infamous for their 52-gin selection from around the world, which are served up in goblets large enough to intoxicate you just by simply looking at them!

We visited on a Monday evening and with only two dining spaces left, they managed to squeeze in a table for us, as we were a party of three!. They only make enough fresh dough bases for the pizzas on a daily basis according to their maximum table numbers and do not operate a double sitting/seating system.

To all Trip Advisors, I can highly recommend this restaurant should you stay at the Rutland Arms or in fact just visiting Bakewell itself. Being a quality pizza lover, once you have had a pizza here I promise you will never order a Dominos again!

Came hear while on honeymoon in bakewell and I can not recommend enough. The chap behind the bar (with dreadlocks) was very knowledgeable about the gin and what mixers wentbest with each gin. The pizza was the best me and my wife had ever had the tomato sauce was fantastic.

The bar/reasturant was clean and very welcoming. Can't wait to visit agen

We stumbled on Juniper during a recent break in the Peaks and was overwhelmed by the quality so much, we visited them twice in the four days we were away. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They make all of the pizzas fresh in a stone oven while you are served drinks and starters. The quality was outstanding, the best pizzas we have eaten in a very long time!

My wife and i visited for pre meal drinks. We had 4 tasty abd well priced G&Ts. Staff were friendly abd effecient and a great 70s play list in the background. However, i would say it was all a bit tired, menus were a bit sticky and tired and some tables dirty despite being a quiet evening.
