“Great Family Holiday”
Reviewed 6 March 2012

Lovely family weekend away. Pool complex a lot cleaner than on a previous visit. Comfort accommodation (most basic)could do with an overhaul though. looking a little tired. Duvets very old and lumpy but cleanliness was reasonable. Longleat Center Parcs is not the easiest to navigate with three separate areas of activity and no distinct center, but the land train makes it easier and reliably ran to timetable. Restaurants remain a little overpriced and don't get caught out by the fact that they abide by the Sunday trading laws (I did not know that they had to as airport shops are exempt), meaning that you are stuffed if you run out of provisions on a Sunday afternoon as the Parcmarket closes.

Spent last weekend with 7 girlfriends in an exec villa. Superb accommodation with hot tub, sauna & steam room. It was everything we could have wished for, housekeeping offering us fresh towels everyday. Have always holidayed at Sherwood Forest so this made a pleasant change. Sadly, though we had a terrible experience @ Strada on Saturday evening. Having sat down to eat @ 8.30pm we were still waiting for our food @ 10pm. It was very cold inside so we ended up sitting with coats on. When the food was finally delivered my goats cheese salad had 3 tiny pieces of cheese in it and was clearly only a starter size (I had ordered a main course size). It was all very stressful and sad as this was supposed to a celebratory meal. The 7 girls promptly ate (I had nothing) so we could leave. I am due to return for another friends 40th in Jan 2013 but will definately be giving Strada a wide berth in future.

We stayed for 4 nights in a woodland lodge, I cannot fault the accommodation it was immaculate and modern ideal for a family we overlooked woodland which had deer roaming outside our patio door.
We used the swimming pool (free to use) everyday our 20 month old toddler particularly liked the toddler area with the slides, my husband loved the rapids and adult water slides and i loved the outdoor pool which was lovely and warm at 32c. The beach and lake were great with very tame fish in them that you can feed.
The only downside to the entire place is how hilly it was and the distance between locations it was a brisk 30 minute walk from our villa to the sports centre, we did use the land train provided which helped, but you really need to enjoy walking or hire a bike. Would go again.

Thank you for your kind comments regarding your accommodation and the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. I was delighted to learn that they met with your expectations

I can fully appreciate your comments regarding the hilly location, this does however, add to some spectacular views which for me makes it all worthwhile.

I am delighted that you would consider visiting us again and do hope that it won’t be too long before we are welcoming you back.

Kind regards

Sad that Huck's restaurant was closed but I got over that. Excellent and clean facilities. We didn't know what to expect so didn't book many activities. We'll definately do that for our next visit as we felt that we missed out on some things. Two of us had Mum-to-Be treatments at the spa and they were very relaxing!
