I was afraid trying to find a place large enough for seven adults for extended family members for a week-long stay would be a challenge. Atlantic Golf Lodge fit the bill and was beyond my expectations. All pictures are very accurate but they can't capture the relaxing essence of this rental. The owner, David E, was very helpful from when I first communicated with him from the States all the way through our stay. Unfortunately, one email went to my spam folder--the one regarding specific location, how to access keys, etc. Although we arrive in the evening, neighbors pointed me to the right house and David called to walk me through the exterior light switch and key retrieval. All other necessary information was contained in the instruction book he provided.
The welcome basket was put to good use the next morning--very thoughtful. The location is so close to the golf course, Crusoe's Coffee Shop, the butcher, Bertha's Bar, etc. Everyone was so friendly. Unfortunately, two businesses, The Railway Diner and Ruth's Home Bakery, were closed throughout our stay, but we enjoyed all the others. And the butcher had some specials, so yes, we did use the grill outside. We also booked for the carvery at Bertha's for Sunday--if you are in town, please try it! Excellent!
Very close to Coleraine, Portstewart, Portrush, Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-rede, Musselden Temple, etc. We even did a day trip to Malin Head. We also got a day of rest when Hurricane Ophelia made an appearance (and we thought Hurricane Harvey in Texas had a sister!)
It's easy to fall in love with Northern Ireland when you stay at Atlantic Golf Lodge!!!
