stayed here at the weekend just gone for 2 nights. got a deal for 2 nights b+B, 1 dinner and 3 rounds of golf for a very good price.

its not the first time ive stayed here, my wifes cousin was married here a few years back in 2008 and we also had another golf outing here in 2010 and everything went great.

as for the most recent stay it was very good. we arrived very early on the first day well before check in so headed out for the golf course straight away. The golf facilities are excellent. the driving range is one of the best ive seen with the tee height computerised making it easier, it is quite spacious, there is also a great pro shop just beneath a bar and restaurant which is just yards from the main lobby entrance to the hotel. There are also chipping and putting greens available, you wont find all that available at most courses.

My only quibble with the course was the light rough, most course you can get a good shot away, here though you're doing well to find your ball let alone play out of it, any sort of rough on the course is just far too thick (and thats not even the heavy rough). The amount of times the ball was either buried or just vanished was crazy, too many golf balls were lost in light rough and we lost a lot of time looking for them no matter how much you think you have a good reference to look for it.

That said it is a good challenging course with lots of interesting golf holes with various challenges, it was very difficult to get any sort of good shot out of a bunker. but just about every hole was unique and although some were difficult there are plenty of chances for birdies and on some holes even eagles. there is a lot of lovely scenary too and i would love to play this course again, even after doing so for 3 days. Golf buggies can also be arranged to drive around in and it really takes the weight off your feet for a reasonable price.

The hotel itself is great, when we checked in I had the pleasure of dealing with Shannon who was usually at breakfast too, she was great to deal with and talk too and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

the room itself was fine and overlooked the 6th hole of the golf course, the only problem was it was like an oven when we checked in but the staff atleast got the heat turned down for us. we perhaps could have done with air conditioning as the rooms were very stuffy even with the window open (i usually found once i was awake that that was it as far as sleep was concerned for the night, being mildly ashtmatic doesnt help) but there was plenty of room anyway.

Breakfast every morning was huge and it was mostly great, i wasnt a fan of the rashers as they were very salty but everything else was spot on.

we also ate dinner and lunch in the hotel over the course of the stay and the food was great. there are also plenty of areas to have a drink, especially the bar overlooking the golf course.

all in all it is a great set up, the hotel itself is laid out very well and they have some great golf facilities. As i said one or two things about the course could be better but you could say that about any course, the price of everything was very reasonable and i would have no problem recommending the course or the hotel to anyone.

i didnt really use the wifi much but it seemed ok to me though i did over hear a complaint about it upon checking out, some areas of the hotel werent great for it i believe. i did see some technicians around so maybe they worked on it.

but thats only a minor problem as far as im concerned so im happy to give 5 stars

Booked four rooms for my husbands 70th birthday. A huge thank you to Karen in reservations who helped me plan the surprise trip. We all had a fabulous time thanks to all the fantastic staff throughout the hotel. We had family over from Scotland and they were so impressed they are planning a return trip. Great family feel to the hotel. My four year old granddaughter loved the pool and the evening entertainment.

Room Tip: The Junior Suites are located on the corner of the hotel with fantastic views over the golf course

Had a lovely night here in the summer, wonderful meal, beautiful surroundings, and really enjoyed making use of the spa facilities - the back massages are highly recommended! Rooms very clean and well-presented and staff extremely helpful. Hope to visit again! Thanks and God bless.

This was an overnight stay that included the unlimited golf package, which was well worth including. On early arrival the splendid Deirdre was very helpful and we ate in the golf club restaurant while she sorted out our room. The superior room was very spacious and the bed comfortable, with a good bathroom.

As we were golfing we did not use the main restaurant and the golf club food was great on both of the days we used it. The buffet breakfast in the main restaurant was excellent.

The course is well maintained and there are buggies for hire and the staff are helpful here too.

In summary a great place for golfers to stay and play and we wll be back for more!

Room Tip: Superior rooms are good with nice views of the course.

Good Afternoon Hableaf

Thank you for your review. I am delighted you enjoyed your golfing trip to the Roe Park Resort. We are the perfect option for golfers with first class golfing facilities on site to include an 18 hole parkland golf course, short gaming area, indoor and outdoor driving range and golf academy for lessons with our resident PGA Pro.

The Unlimited Golf package is very popular for these reasons. We look forward to welcoming you and your group again soon.

The weekend we picked to travel to Ireland was extremely busy, not only hotels but also flights and ferries, so we were pleased with our stay at Roe Park. We only had B&B because we were going out to visit family. The bedroom was extremely comfortable, ensuite fine. Grounds were beautifully
