Called in yesterday for a late lunch after spending a few hours in the Mournes. We were greeted by a friendly warm dark haired girl and were shown to a table. The blond who served us couldn’t have been more different - stiff, cold, condescending and patronising(and she didn’t treat the other staff too well either!) I question whether hospitality is really her forte!
The seafood chowder I had was delicious but the toasted sandwich my husband had had an average garnish. They arrived 20 minutes after we had ordered them and later customers were served before us.
It’s a shame as this is what Kilkeel was crying out for but the young staff give a better impression than the older one.
