Excellent hotel

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 1 Jul 2024
Wonderful stay in this lovely family run hotel.
Just a couple of minutes from the centre of town and next to the Pleney cable car but very quiet with lovely garden.
Super indoor pool and spa area and the whole place is spotlessly clean.
Nice buffet breakfast and the 4 course eve meal with choices was great.
All the staff were friendly and organised.

This is my nineth visit to the hotel and it continues to impress. Great ski and village location and a well managed hotel run by the same family for many years. Very good spa and pool facilities and the food is always good. The hotels continues to benefit from room refurbs year on year. As in most of Europe, snow levels at 1000 metres are not good this year but there is good snow to be found in Avoriaz and Switzerland with a little planning via free shuttle buses or a planned ski route.

Room tip: Use the hotel discount for ski passes and ski hire.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly helpful & go above & beyond to make your stay easy comfortable & enjoyable.
The spa is wonderful after a full day of skiing.
The food was beautiful self service starter & mains were 3 different options of meat fish or vegetarian & deserts were lovely.
The snow wasn’t on our side this week but the hotel provided a little shuttle service to take us to avoriaz & even came to collect us after a day of skiing as the normal bus queue was huge.
This is a family run hotel with happy helpful staff.
Without a doubt I would return again.

We chose our chalet linked to the hotel because it is so close to Pleney Gondola for our ski week. We chose a 3 bed chalet with half board and did not realise how good it was going to be. Chalet first, three bedrooms each with toilets and bathrooms, spacious, drying room, freezer a d fridge. Lovely and added addition of 3 ski lockers. Breakfast was great and all you can imagine from an Alpine breakfast before you ski. Very friendly staff so helpful. Dinner was way
above our expectations with a buffet starter set up different every night, three choices of great main courses, cheese trolley to die for, and some lovely desserts. If you couldn't finish your bottle of wine, they left it for you the next night. Swimming pool and spa are also good with a lovely relaxing bar area with kids and adults. Thank You

Room tip: Snow in February in the Alps not at its best but higher up in Les Gets and on the opposite side Alvoriaz was good. Local music bar next to Pleney fun to go to for Apres Ski

I have recently returned from a fantastic week at this family run hotel. Literally, a stone’s throw away from the Pleney gondola, you couldn’t get any closer to the pistes.

The staff were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. The food choices in the restaurant were superb and catered for my gluten free needs. The public areas were always clean and tidy.

The added bonus to this hotel was the swimming pool and spa, which was great to wind down and relax in after a hard day on the slopes.

All in all, a superb stay and would recommend this hotel to all.

This family run hotel was delightful. Our superior room had a lovely mountain view and was spacious, well furnished with spaces for case contents etc. All staff, from reception, through chamber maids and restaurant were so friendly and helpful. There is a lovely atmosphere .
Food was excellent. Breakfast had hot and cold buffet choices, plus usual bread, fruit, cereal, etc. Dinner was so comprehensive - starters were always buffet and sometimes themed eg. Asian, Tex Mex. Vegetable soup was always available. Main course had a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. The cheese trolley was delicious and the staff were able to explain the different cheeses using good English . However they were also happy to let us practise our French. Dessert had one main choice, but ice cream was always available as an alternative. The wine list was extensive and we thought fairly reasonably priced .
The Pleney gondola was literally a few steps from the hotel . Lift serviced the ski room if one wished. The bar was cosy, friendly and served cake in the afternoon. A great example of how this hotel goes the extra mile is - they opened breakfast an hour earlier on Saturday as so many guests had early coach connections . They do simply try to think of everything ,
