The poor rating is the result of outside factors. However, the hotel is in the position to rectify if they so wished. In addition the review is for room 225.

Room 225, is described as a "comfort room" for which an additional fee is warranted. The only difference, from a standard room, I can see is that a kettle is provided with limited tea and coffee without milk. The room is located on the first floor at the rear of the hotel facing the Route des Loches, which the traffic becomes very intrusive at about 05.00, even on a Saturday!

However, the biggest drawback is the very bright car park lighting of the adjoining property which floods the rear of the hotel as if it was a PoW camp or prison throughout the night. Unfortunately, our room was only provided with a heavy type net curtain and no blinds. So the room is constantly both bright and noisy.

The meals were OK, however they were "industrially" produced, but of a much better standard than you encounter in the UK.

Whist providing a comfortable mattress, the room reminders me of Ibis/B&B type room.

If we were using this route in the future, we would seek an alternative hotel.

The surrounding is quiet, the staff very friendly, the dinner good value and tasty, the room very comfortable with the choice of some rooms having a kettle and some tea and coffee which is a real plus, for just some euros more

Only stayed here for one night as we had a hospital appointment at the Trousseau hospital which is 5 mins up the road.
Very easy to find just off the main A10 but in a quiet location with woodland around. It's a motel style hotel and very stylishly decorated furniture and colour wise.
Check in was easy, our room was ground floor and we could park the car at the back outside our window (which opened fully). There is a metal shutter on the window which is controlled by a switch by the bed.
The room was quite small but had a work space with power sockets and chair, wall mounted tv, 2 bedside shelves and lights, hanging space with hangers and shelf over, comfy king size bed with extra pillows. Bathroom was nicely tiled and spotlessly clean with a walk - in shower which was very powerful - lovely! I do appreciate a good shower.
I liked the atmosphere of the place - the corridors had pebble/bark effect carpet and blue lights and you couldn't hear people walking up and down the corridor.
We had the plat de jour for dinner which was excellent and the restaurant staff couldn't have been better. Breakfast was breads, cheese, meats etc. which we didn't have as we were still stuffed from the night before! We had a nice coffee from the machine though.
We really enjoyed our short stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel.

We stopped on our way to Spain with our pets. Very helpful and welcoming multilingual service. Reasonably priced. Impeccably clean and well maintained room. Plenty of parking. Pet friendly. We skipped dinner not breakfast.

We will stop again but next time we'll skip the breakfast.

Room Tip: Quiet all round. But is you sleep lightly try top floor far from the reception and facing the rear parking lot.

We recently had a 4 night stay there and found it spotlessly clean, quiet and friendly staff who spoke perfect english. The reason we chose it was because we were guaranteed a ground floor room for my slightly disabled wife(can't manage stairs) and were able to park close to the room. The rooms are modern with LED lighting, walk in shower and good toilet. The downside is that as its mainly a business hotel there are no drawer or cupboards but the free wifi was superb. Its setting surrounded by woodland is nice but its about a mile from the town centre.
