We called in for a meal and coffee _ jacket potato with smoked salmon was delicious.
Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Last visited the forge 4 years ago and experience was not pleasant but friends encouraged us to give it another go - very glad that we did.

It was a pleasure to visit The Forge on our trip. A wide variety of talented craftspeople and artists are represented. The value for money is also very good and the staff very helpful. Thank you

Went to the cafe yesterday with my family. Lovely halloumi salad, soup and vanilla milkshake. We asked for more bread with the soup and they were happy to oblige. Nice craft shop to browse in while you wait.

Came here with 4 others for soup and a panini. The quality was excellent, as was the cafetiere of coffee. You are surrounded by art. There is a changing exhibition as well as a large and modern gift shop as well as artists studios. Allendale is a charming village to explore plus the drive here is lovely especially from the South / East over the moorland.

Amazing hidden gem. Huge portions. Accommodating. Dog friendly. Home baked goods. Good value given the out of the way location
