Local artists and crafts people display their work here. The exhibition is changed monthly. There area wide range of local arts and crafts for sale in the shop. There are a number of studios on the first floor. The cafe serves tasty home made food. This is an excellent place for a day it at anytime of the year.

We arrived only 35 minutes before closing but the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and we didn't feel rushed at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our ice cream and milkshakes as the day was pretty warm, and then had a good look in the shop and bought some very individual gifts as birthday presents from friends. The café is very centrally located and there was lots of parking. This was our first visit but won't be the last.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and found all scones and cakes sold out. That can happen so not a big problem but coffees we ordered were weak and poor quality and the filled roll and traybakes did not represent good value. Would not return

Small but excellent cafe which serves really good coffee, with a number of artists studios displaying an eclectic range of original art forms at very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit and the town of Allendale has some lovely shops and a fascinating antique emporium, which is an absolute must-see experience.
