Beautiful location! Cake was delicious and the sandwiches were really good, nice salad, coleslaw and vegetable crisps that came with them. Highly recommend.

Cycling along the Brecon Canal seeking coffee when we came across a fallen down sign advertising the Hummingbird Cafe. Fortunately a couple of walkers who were also headed there were able to direct us. Excellent coffee and moist, scrummy cakes. Very pleasant surroundings. I suggest you re-instate your sign and perhaps add how far away the cafe is so you attract more passing cyclists.......they are missing out on a treat.

Tastefully decorated , bright and cheery roadside cafe... with ample parking outside.
There is seating outside and inside. Menu is baguettes, paninis, soups and a selection of cakes. In addition a special board with eg. Ploughman’s lunch
All the food is fresh, beautifully presented and includes local produce such as chutney from Usk.

There is an adjacent shop selling a range of local chutney, jam, chocolate and honey. Local artists display and sell watercolours of the stunning landscape around. The infamous Sugar loaf, Blorenge and Skirrid mountain ranges. The landscape around is memorable.

Walked along the canal for a fair few miles and then had lunch in our favourite coffee shop, Hummingbird. From the young lady who took our order to Sally, who brought our food, the service was lovely. The food / presentation is always very good and I just want to say that Sally provided service with a smile - a real asset to the business.

Visited here today with two friends at 3 55 pm. On entering we were bluntly told they were closing in 5 minutes. We asked if we could have drinks and once more were told they were closing. My friend wanted ice cream but apparently they don't sell it there even in this hot deal weather and were told to go to Goytre Wharf if we wanted ice cream. We had ice cream here a weeks ago.
We found their attitude a little off putting. .
