I brought my grandsons here a couple of weeks ago and they loved it. You can see the reptiles being fed, and you can get quite close to them. There is also a great picnic area.

I've been here twice and both times it was brilliant.  I brought a group of kids the second time and they all loved it.  The staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had.

Booked 5th birthday party here for my daughter and it was a massive success. Costing just €65 for 10 kids, we brought our own food -there is a microwave to reheat. Kids loved the play area -even the 10 year old and given that it was a quiet Sunday, we almost had the entire place to ourselves. There was tea and coffee available for the adults and the area was well heated. Danny was excellent in imparting his knowledge of the reptiles as well as answering all the kids questions. I'd recommend this as a great party idea for young kids and its safe for them to go and explore the displays as well as burn off energy in the play area.

Only 1 and a half hours from Dublin.A great day out particularly if its raining.Lots of reptiles even alligators and the up close and personal demonstrations were great but not for the squimish. We went with teenagers who were impressed and although its small we spent more than 2 hours there to watch the feeding demonstrations.there is a small ball pool and slide are for the small kids who may not want to see a cuddly bunny being eaten by a python. The gift shop was practically empty. Some may view this as an advantage but we would have liked a small memento. It is well worth the trip but be advised they do not accept debit/credit cards.

We visited here recently for our second eldest's 7th birthday. We brought 8 kids in all, ranging in age from 3 up to 9.

First off the place is very easy to find, and the M9 makes getting there very handy.

We had rang to book in which wasn't necessary but we arranged a price. For 2 adults and the gang of 8 it cost €60. Super value considering that we were allowed to bring our own food and stay as long as we wanted. Recession proof as were weren't tied in to outrageous prices of food of a lot of places out there.

From start to finish the staff we absolutely brilliant. While they were all in the age bracket of late teens to early 20's, they were very patient with the kids and listened and answered all of their questions ..... of which there were a lot!

There were a lot of different things to see including alligators, snakes, spiders, tortoises and bearded dragons to name a few. There was a hot sweaty room to walk in to to experience some reptiles in their own habitat with a member of staff answering questions.

The kids handled a couple of different snakes and a bearded dragon while I held a tarantula....over 18's only apparently....

There is a small enclosed play area which kept the kids occupied while we got the birthday party picnic set up in eating area. Tea, coffee, etc were all reasonably priced too.

There was a small shop there which the kids were kept out of (by us). A few poster sized fact sheets would have been a good sell....

The only negatives are as follows...as we booked ahead, it would have been nice if a table had a happy birthday tablecloth on it or something similiar.

The toilets needed a little attention, especially with kids running in and out in socks/bare feet from play area.

The tables are too close to the play area and there were a few bumps and knocks while we were there.

All told though this place is fantastic value and I'd even recommend it for second level students for projects, etc. While there we spoke to a few families who were on a return visit and we will definitely return here time and again.
