Passed by several times but never stopped. Then a friend of mine recommended and we had a fabulous dinner yesterday. Outstanding family val d'Aosta meal in the menu. Staff (the owner) super friendly and very kind. Very interesting wine selection with super competitive price. Truly recommended if you are on the way to Champoluc.

We have eaten here twice - once a lunch, a simple 3 course meal for a very competitive price (12€). The meal was very good, great quality ingredients, but relatively simple like the local cuisine is. But, for the price this was an excellent bargain.

Second time we had a 5 course taster menu of local cuisine in the evening and then the chef has shown his full potential. Traditional yet not afraid of putting some modern twists (which can be risky when feeding Italians - conservative to the bone in case of their dishes). The food again was simple but that is exactly what you have to do to expose the superior quality of local ingredients. Lardo, chestnuts, cheeses and cold cuts were shining through one dish after another. With an addition of fantastic local wines and a cheeky Genepy (local herbal liquor) to finish - the meal was a complete experience of local food.

The place is run by a family and the cosy atmosphere it creates is palpable. For travellers with children, the restaurant has an excellent corner stuffed with toys and books your toddler or a younger child will definitely enjoy giving you some well deserved rest.

Definitely worth dropping by and really a must-try if you are staying in Challand.

We tasted the home brew beers, there is a good choice of beers and the price in not expensive. The nice lady that was there brought also some appetizer to drink with some food. There is also a collection of books on these places that you can read sipping your beer. Good stop point when you pass there.
