One night is definitely not enough but that's all we had and it was truly lovely....
As everyone else has said already... exceptional warm welcome from Annie and John who have created this magical and historic, home away from home ..... waiting to be discovered and then enveloping their guests with kindness and interesting tales of history and restoration.... I tore myself away to luxuriate in the beautiful rolltop bath, with a soft breeze from the windows, May weather was so kind to us...and then was ready for dinner.... WOW.... a Michelin Star with brass knobs on.... beautiful meal, thoughtfully prepared and master chef level presentation.... just the right quantities in the cosiest of dining rooms.... we were just so relaxed and happy and slept like kittens...
Breakfast overlooking the garden was another exceptional experience with anything and everythIng one could thInk of... we then had to set off home but not before an unforgettable walk along the top of a nearby hill.... to really appreciate the area...
Thanks so much Annie and John for making my birthday a happy and memorable one.... we hope to come back...... C&G

Room Tip: We lov d to ur room with beautiful ensuite bath (rolltop)

Stayed just one night while on a weekend trip to the area. Found a warm welcome from Annie and John, who didn't mind when we cheered for the "wrong" team in the televised Rugby. The house is fascinating, the bedroom comfortable and dinner excellent. Highly recommended

Thanks for your lovely review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. As you were here to deliver your artwork to a local gallery, we thought we would have a look and we now are proud owners of one of your pieces.

This place is a one-off in the nicest possible way. The oldest house in Wales? You can believe it when you've taken in all the history (built in 1402) and character. The welcome is warm in every sense (we arrived on a cold January afternoon), and John and Annie obviously take huge pride in their presentation of the rooms which are full of delightful quirks and witty touches (plenty of animal themes, and rich fabrics, wallpapers and wall hangings) and in the professional care they take in the preparation of the rooms and en suite facilities. Then there's Annie's cooking. We stayed two nights and dined royally on both evenings. The breakfasts too were first rate, offering a comprehensive array of fruits, drinks, cereals and (very well) cooked options which sent us out into the day well satisfied. We'll have no hesitation in booking ourselves in again.

Room Tip: Only two rooms, both very characterful. One has more living space and the other better en suite faci...

We stayed one night with Anne and John in their amazing house and will definitely return. The eclectic mix of furniture adds to the great character and history of this amazing house - and its owners. Lovely welcome, great conversation in front of a roaring fire, wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended.

Stayed two nights in the very ideosyncratic B&B that Annie and John have created in Wales' oldest house. They provided magnificent hospitality, good conversation, a fully-equipped comfortable bedroom, an eclectically-furnished lounge, and magnificent breakfasts with cockles. Strongly recommended!
