This place is a one-off in the nicest possible way. The oldest house in Wales? You can believe it when you've taken in all the history (built in 1402) and character. The welcome is warm in every sense (we arrived on a cold January afternoon), and John and Annie obviously take huge pride in their presentation of the rooms which are full of delightful quirks and witty touches (plenty of animal themes, and rich fabrics, wallpapers and wall hangings) and in the professional care they take in the preparation of the rooms and en suite facilities. Then there's Annie's cooking. We stayed two nights and dined royally on both evenings. The breakfasts too were first rate, offering a comprehensive array of fruits, drinks, cereals and (very well) cooked options which sent us out into the day well satisfied. We'll have no hesitation in booking ourselves in again.
