The room was very spacious and comfortable . Breakfast was of a good standard . The owners of the hotel were very pleasant and most helpful in suggesting places to visit such as Cantinas and villages within the area. Castiglione Falletto is a very pleasant and quiet village which is situated in the heart of the Langhe area and is ideal to use as a base to explore the region. Another bonus is having dinner at the hotel where the food and wine list is of a very good standard. Here also the the owners of the hotel are in complete control of the running of the place.

Room tip: The front rooms are quite large whereas the back rooms are slightly smaller.

We stayed here for two nights at Christmas time 2015. Because of the holiday, things were very quiet and the restaurant was closed our first night there. Our very gracious and delightful hosts were there to welcome us and we had a big breakfast the next morning. The room was nice, nothing special, but good value for the money. We ate one night in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good.

Spent 2 nights here while on a walking holiday. We received a warm welcome from Valentina on our arrival especially as we had removed our boots at the front door. Rooms are on the 2nd floor and are quirkily decorated. Ours was the smallest but was still large enough. The decor was a bit on the dark side for reading in bed but that is a minor niggle. The restaurant is on the first floor and serves delicious food and wine. On the first night I had insalata di coniglio con pepperoni in agrodolci, then tajarin con burro e salvia. Anatra coscia was the main course. My husband had funghi fritti followed by ravioli con zucco with the same main course as me. All were delicious and we were expertly served by Emanuel whose English was excellent, learned in Guernsey when he worked there! We had a glass of Arneis, a local white wine and a bottle of very good Barbera d'Alba. A non-alcoholic drink and petit fours were served with the coffee. The restaurant was very busy. A lot of the clientele seemed to be local, always a good sign.

My husband and I have been to this wonderful and best kept secret for several times now. The food is excellent: typical Piedmont cuisine with an edge which simply adds the spark. The location is terrific, it is a real Italian locanda but the owner has somehow succeeded in making it creative without losing on the original flavor. And on top of everything, the owner and staff are super nice, they go out of their way to make people happy. Love it, love it, love it.

Overlooking the main square, this simple restaurant with rooms is a wonderful mix of rustic charm and contemporary style, serving tasty local dishes accompanied by delicious wines. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and hard working. The meal in the restaurant was as good as any during our trip to lovely Piedmont.
