First off let me say I am in the restaurant business so I can be a little critical of places that I eat at, especially if the are charging the higher prices but I have to say this place was worth every penny. Service was fantastic and the sommelier pointed us to a great Timorasso to for the first course which I had never had and was a great choice. Service was friendly and flawless throughout the dinner and the food was excellent and innovative. We ended up having a 15 course dinner which ran $100 euros each but you definitely don't have to spend that much if you go with one on the other tasting menus or order a la carte. By luck this place was just a couple kms from our hotel but having eaten at a few places in Alba I can say this is definitely worth the drive if you are staying in town. Beautiful location on top of the hill with a wonderful view on the patio and the dining room is comfortable without feeling like you should be wearing a suit. Wine list is reasonable with choices for everyone and had a few nice gems on it. Would surely return again when I am back in the area

We booked the room and table for one night on our way home as a nice stopover..
We were welcomed with a smile by the chef himself, he even helped carrying our luggage up to the very large and nice room. Beds were a bit too hard ( a topper would solve this problem) and the dinner was very nice and tasty... Price wise really with in all reason.. Price /quality fully in line...
We highly recommend this place for a dinner and overnight stop...

First of all, spectacular setting. Close to Alba, but set in the rolling vineyards above. If you get there early, they have a nice enoteca for tasting/buying. Their Roero Arneis, their flagship white, is great. Given that the estate is owned by a family well known in the textile/fashion industry, the decor inside is impeccable and chic. Then the food...wow. They offer various tasting menus (truffles, sea, land...). We opted for truffles and were brought 5-6 courses of amazingly presented, delicious dishes. To top it off, a series of fantastic desserts. If you want a creative, fresh approach to Piedmont dishes, this is the place. No wonder they just earned a Michelin star.

great food and sohpisticated preparation. Very great service with lots of explanation on food and vine. we had several dishes some with truffles. the egg and truffle was delicious. my perception was that it is a little overprices tough.

Our group of four did a tasting dinner here, everything was going very well and we were all pleased with our dishes and wine. It was rather hot inside the restaurant 80+ degrees but we fought through it without complaint. The dinner was a typical leisurely Italian pace but things got weird after the last entree course. Suddenly we were waiting and waiting and waiting. 35 minutes go by and finally a waiter stops by, we ask if they could bring the bill with the dessert course because we had a driver waiting for us. Well then another 30 minutes go by and they bring a pre-dessert course and no bill, then 10 minutes later we finally get dessert and no bill. The whole time we're racking up extra time on our driver, sweating profusely due to the heat, and very frustrated.

The whole experience took 3+ hours, no one every apologized or mentioned the reasons for the delay. There were only about 5 tables in use and numerous waiters available. We suspect that a food critic was present, because once this person showed up our service fell apart. They were also taking tons of high quality food photographs and getting a TON of attention.

Overall the food and first part of the dinning experience were great... So take this for what it's worth...
