“MoveOver, Martha Stewart...Competition in Lantzville!”

My husband and I stayed with another couple at Ele's Escape B & B by the Sea for three nights in October. We were warmly welcomed by Barb and her beautiful sheepdog, Ele, and were immediately treated to snacks and beverages as we took in this beautifully decorated home. Barb's special touches were everywhere, and her decorating style reflects her world travels and her love of elephants. We also met Barb's husband, Tom, and from the beginning felt that we were guests in their private home....which we were! Barb's breakfasts were amazing, and beautifully presented, from the chocolate crepes with fresh fruits and "Forbidden Cream" to a delicious veggie quiche and Crabby Eggs Benedict with apple and brie scones. Barb's special touches were everywhere...on the beautifully decorated table, the nightly chocolates nestled in a seashell with a different message each night, and anything we could possibly need or want during our stay. Barb provided many suggestions for things to do and places to visit on the island, along with restaurant suggestions in the area. We really felt spoiled and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Barb and her husband Jack...such interesting and lovely people.

Much thanks for the great review. You four were great fun and the reason we enjoy our guests so much! Do come visit again - Vancouver Island has many more hidden treasures and you only got to menu three!

Everything about this B&B was excellent. The hosts are extremely interesting people, the facilities are excellent and the food is amazing. Don't be fooled by the outside (which is nice but the inside surprises) - the decor inside is modern, updated and well appointed. We arrived to prepared snacks and offers of coffee or tea. We found the bed very comfortable and had more than we needed: small fridge with drinks, house coats, raincoats and bedtime chocolates. Tea, coffee adn cookies at all times in the eating area. The heated bathroom floor was a treat! Don't miss this B&B if you are looking in this area!

It was our absolute pleasure to host you at VANCOUVER ISLAND - ELES ESCAPE B&B by the SEA. Our reward in hosting our amazing guests always centres around both their comfort and enjoyment of what we and the island do best. It was lovely to meet you both and hope that we can entice you to another island escape. Go well.

“Brilliant breakfast, fantastic hospitality great location and orcas on your doorstep!”

Where to start? The guest bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and more than enough space for luggage. The private bathroom is right across the hall and stunning and very spacious.
Barb's attention to detail is incredible: his and hers bathrobes and slippers, a little fridge with water, chocolates, comfortable towels, welcome tapas when you arrive. Superb! Barb is a very welcoming and warm person and we shared a lot of laughs. Her breakfasts are an absolute feast and that alone makes Ele's Escape B&B more than worth the stay.
We were also lucky enough to spot a small group of orcas right from the shore near to the B&B. It was amazing!
We will definitely return to Vancouver Island and to Ele's Escape!

Thank you so much for both the review and choosing ELE'S ESCAPE B&B by the SEA. You two were such a delight, you must come back! I hate to tell you that there are now TWO Orca pods and they are right at the end of our street! Travel well - we will keep your bed warm for you!
