This is a truly exceptional place to stay, with ready access to a variety of pleasant activities. The rooms are clean and neat, but if stairs are a problem, you should make certain to get a room on the ground level. There is no elevator. This is a family-run location and you will never meet a lovelier family, I promise you! Breakfast is included and offers ample choices. You can borrow a bicycle to ride along the Isar river if you wish, or into the small town nearby. The hotel does not take credit cards so be sure and bring cash for your stay. Parking is free.

I have stayed at the pension Schusterpeter for my honeymoon, as a family with very young children and just last week, on our ten year wedding anniversary with our grade school aged children. In every one of these occasions, the pension was consistently excellent.

This is Bavaria! - If you are looking for a quintessentially Bavarian vacation experience, this is it. The pictures are true to the experience. The location puts you into the middle of beautiful scenery and fantastic recreation.

Great hosts - We arrived a day early for our reservation at 9:20PM on our last trip. The inn was full. Mr. Benz made personal calls on our behalf and found us accommodations nearby. They are happy to help, give good advice on outings and are always accessible at breakfast.

Just for kids – Schusterpeter is family friendly and there is a public playground bordering the property. I would recommend the Alpamare on rainy days and the Blomberg on a sunny day as particularly family friendly activities.

Cons - I find the narrow road that connects the village a bit nerve wracking because I am used to our wide American streets.

Room Tip: Book very early, the pension fills up quickly! The rooms and vacation apartments that I have stayed in are all charming, but quite different. Tell the Inn keeper what is important to you and he will advise on the best room.
