I visit this place regularly for my Sunday lunch, it's always busy, for a very good reason.
Now, if you are a vegan or vegetarian...sorry! This is definitely not the place for you. The vegetarian spring rolls are an insult to any vegetarian. They are bringing in salads for the healthy. Most people that go to eat here know what to expect here though: carvery and great desserts. My favourite would be Banoffi pie and Coffee Madeira cake, myum!
Good news if you accidentally got a full portion and can't fit in your pie, you can ask for it in a take-away box!

What a treasure this establishment it. The whole thing is simply fantastic. The maze of Ireland, the walk & kids entertainment are great. Not too keen on the beauty area, had one treatment which was ok but much nicer if in a more dedicated area. We had lunch which was great and well priced fast service and no shortage of staff throughout.

Rathwood is a very popular destination, rather than just a restaurant. It has woodland walks, children's play, furniture, household, clothing and gift ware. The surroundings are relaxing, and one could happily while away a complete afternoon here. Sunday lunch time is extremely busy, but the carvery service is quick and you are not left queuing for too long. Everything is cooked fresh with a varied menu. The only thing that we found disappointing was the carrot and swede swimming in butter, we couldn't eat it.Not only is there no need to disguise vegetables in this manner, but are we not all aware of the healthy heart campaign? We are trying to encourage a nation away from obesity and into healthy eating, not only did the vegetables taste disgusting, they were potentially dangerous to health also. It can only enhance the experience, when a business actively considers the health and well being of it's patrons, in helping to promote healthy eating.
After all, wouldn't it be better to save your treats for the most deliciously tempting array of cakes and desserts on offer? All home made and worth it.

This is a great destination for lunch or afternoon coffee and a sweet treat. The menu for lunch has a good variety and the portions are excellent. Choices of full dinners, salads, sandwiches and wraps with soup also an option.

My favourite part of any visit here is the choice of desserts and cakes. Love their baked cheesecake and their hazelnut roulade. Always a choice of about 10 different cakes making decisions quite difficult:)

Coffee is good and a choice of three sizes. There always seems to be a stir in the restaurant and is extremely busy on Sundays - however don't let this put you off as the turnover is very fast and you will always get a free table with very little waiting.

Super facilities for little children just outside the restaurant and a retail therapy experience inside the large shopping area. There always seems to be events on for children - the have the Santa Train, Easter Egg Hunt Halloween themed events as well as many others throughout the year. Also the Maze of Ireland is on site and plenty of walking areas.
